AEROSMITH Guitarist Contributes To New 'Monday Night Football' Theme - June 16, 2006

AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry took part in the recording sessions for the new opening theme song for "Monday Night Football". Last Friday (June 9) Perry recorded his part at his studio, the Boneyard, with assistance from his longtime tech Jim Survis and new assistant engineer Jon Lammi. Joe put down about 18 solos and narrowed it down to three. Little Steven Van Zant was the music director for the project and called Joe and asked him to be part of it. Joe flew down to Orlando on Tuesday, landing at 11:30 a.m. and in front of the cameras by 1:00 p.m. Also in the house were Charlie Daniels, Rick Nielsen, Bernie Worrell and Bootsy Collins, Little Richard and, of course, Little Steven Van Zant.

	Joe Perry's got plenty of free time for projects like this, since all of Aerosmith's outside songwriters are writing their music based on their focus group studies on the kind of cheesy ballads fat suburban housewives enjoy.

	i know what you mean man, apparently the US dont get sarcasm either! LOL yeah, btw, the rest of the world, mainly us in britain (you know, the ones who invented all the proper sports, gave them names, long before you stole the names, quadroupled the point scoring and generally made sport a jock farce) is pissed off that you stole the name football. football is the name of just the one sport, could you not have named your sport something different? i mean the rugby lads managed it! jees so yeah, when people say monday night football, i think wooo monday night with a bottle of ale (thats a real drink btw, not that you get them over there), and whichever premiership match is on, where the players do actually kick a ball, hence football, oh and theres more too it than big men hugging each other for 5 yards of territory, before the game stops again, and nonsense tactical shite goes on.....theres no beauty to american football
