CAMP FREDDY, THE PANIC CHANNEL Announce Special Las Vegas Concert
- June 17, 2006
CAMP FREDDY, the Los Angeles-based "jam" group featuring guitarist Dave Navarro (ex-JANE'S ADDICTION, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) alongside VELVET REVOLVER members Matt Sorum (drums) and Scott Weiland (vocals), will be playing in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 1. Also appearing will be THE PANIC CHANNEL, the new band featuring three quarters of the most recent lineup of JANE'S ADDICTION (Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Chris Chaney) and former SKYCYCLE vocalist Steve Isaacs. The event is a weekend-long celebration by 944 magazine, and takes place at The Palms Hotel and Casino, who will be opening their $40 million pool that day. Tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10:00 a.m. this coming Sunday morning (June 18). The show is outside and tickets will be limited.
CAMP FREDDY have been in and out of the recording studio over the past couple of years recording what is expected to eventually be released as the band's debut album. Among the cuts that are set to appear on the effort are a version of Marc Bolan's "20th Century Boy" (featuring CAMP FREDDY's own Donovan Leitch on vocals, and Steve Jones from THE SEX PISTOLS on lead guitar) and THIN LIZZY's "Jailbreak" (featuring ex-ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell on vocals and Billy Duffy [ex-THE CULT] on lead guitar). Other guest musicians include RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith and singer Macy Gray.

Kull's too gay to appreciate something like this. Saw their last show in Vegas.
Guest players ranged from Warren Martini, to Sugar Ray with everything in between - Steve Jones, Billy Duffy, Duff McKagan, Billy Morrison, Carmen Electra, and about 20 others I can't remember -- then a full on jam with about 12 people on one stage to close the show. Awesome.

I've jammed with Camp Freddy numerous times.
Scott Weiland is actually my cousin.

P.S. Your mind isn't playing tricks on you. I'm really back.

Nuno was never in Panic Channel, you are getting your ex-Jane's Addiction bands confused. Nuno is in Satellite Party, Perry's new band.
