The first rumblings of a possible AEROSMITH / MÖTLEY CRÜE pairing were heard in early January when CRÜE frontman Vince Neil revealed during an appearance on the "Opie and Anthony" show on XM Satellite Radio that the two bands would be hooking for a trek later in the year.

AEROSMITH are currently recording their new album with producer Steve Lillywhite, who has previously worked with U2 and MORRISSEY. The band were forced to cancel a bunch of shows on their spring tour after singer Steven Tyler suffered a broken blood vessel in his voice box.

MÖTLEY CRÜE are believed to have commenced the songwriting/demoing process for their new studio album with producer Bob Rock, who previously worked with CRÜE on their "Dr. Feelgood" and self-titled albums, as well as the three new tracks that appeared on CRÜE's two-CD "greatest hits" collection, "Red, White & Crüe" (which came out in February 2005). An early 2007 release is expected.

Steven Tyler should go sing for an underground thrash metal band because even at this age his voice is brutal. His band however is ruined by their pop status. Listen to the first Aerosmith shit, then imagine him singing over the new Nevermore or something similar. Would be badass.

They're playing DTE in October... are they nuts? It's way too cold out in October to go to an outdoor show.

i would love to go to this tour, but two things are currenty preventing me from doing so 1.the nearest date is 6 1/2 hours away and 2. im sure good seats will be at least 130-150 dollars and nose-bleed probably 75-90.
and one more thing, how come tours like this and tours like Ozzfest never come to Minnesota?
