MOTÖRHEAD: 'Stage Fright' Special To Air On MTV2's 'Headbanger's Ball'

MOTÖRHEAD will get the royal treatment this Saturday, June 24 with the "Headbanger's Ball" thirty-minute "Stage Fright" special. Culled from the spectacular DVD of the same title (released earlier this year on SPV), the program contains a healthy selection of MOTÖRHEAD favorites along with some backstage interview footage of Lemmy and the band.
"Stage Fright" premieres during the second half-hour of MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" at 11:30 p.m. EST with an additional airing on Monday, June 26 at 5:30 a.m. EST.
MOTÖRHEAD recently revealed the track listing for their new album, "Kiss of Death", tentatively due on August 29 via Sanctuary Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Inferno" was produced by Cameron Webb, who also worked with the group on their last effort. A new MOTÖRHEAD track, entitled "Kingdom of the Worm", received its world premiere on May 19 during MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy Kilmister's appearance on the "Jonesy's Jukebox" radio show on Indie 103.1 FM.
Lemmy is featured in the June 2006 issue of Maxim magazine as one of the top 10 "Living Legends of Sex." Also appearing in the issue are Jack Nicholson, Julio Iglesias, Gene Simmons, Charlie Sheen and Magic Johnson, among others.

But I have heard the albums Motörhead, Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades and Iron Fist and they' re good. You know. Because Fast Eddie Clarke is on them.

Well, Eddie was on the first Motörhead record. Before that, nobody knew anything about the band.

saying he was the reason for Motorhead's success? How

It's absolutely KILLER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Motorhead don't need Eddie Clarke, he's a killer guitarist and composer, but their released their best albums without him: "Another Perfect Day", "Bastards", "We Are Motorhead", "Overnight Sensation" and the mighty "Inferno" best one yet.
Motorhead rule, Lemmy is God.

Yes, I believe it was Fast Eddie who made the band popular. Without him Motörhead would have been an underground band forever. Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades ... they just haven' t released anything like that after Eddie left. With Fastway Eddie tried to do something completely different and the first two albums were good in my opinion. To be frank, I think that the actual reason why Fastway later became such a miserable band was Eddie' s drinking problem. That however doesn' t change the fact that the Ace of Spades is Motörhead' s best and best known album.

I have a lot of music DVDs and this is easily one of the best. The production values are really high.
I say skip the MTV special and buy the DVD instead.
(Its funny because I was watching/listening to this DVD last night)

Motorhead's CURRENT lineup is my favorite and I have been a fan since 1980. Yeah, Fast Eddie helped shape the sound of the early stuff, but they keep growing. The last fifteen years of Motorhead have been ASTOUNDING.

Lemmy is a rock star. That' s his thing.
Not a composer. Not a musician. A rock star.
He can be just a rock star because Fast Eddie Clarke made it possible for him. And of course, after Eddie left other people have kept him in business. Someone said that Lemmy is a genius and I think that was a clever comment. Think about it. He can only " sing " and yet he is a rock star. He is good to arrange things, that' s certain.
