AEROSMITH And MÖTLEY CRÜE To Team Up For 'Route Of All Evil Tour' - June 20, 2006
AEROSMITH — "America's greatest rock' n' roll band" — will return to the road September 14 with MÖTLEY CRÜE — "America's most notorious rock band" — to spawn what is the ultimate must-see rock event of 2006: a massive North American tour of predominantly outdoor amphitheatres. Bigger, louder, faster, and harder than what rock fans have experienced before, the tour gets underway in Holmdel, NJ and lasts through November 24 in West Palm Beach, FL. With each band featuring all their original members, this marks the first time that rock's bad boys have embarked on a tour together.

The first few dates of the Live Nation-produced tour — Camden, NJ, Boston, Washington, Tinley Park, IL, East Troy, WI and Detroit — go on sale June 24. Two more shows (Holmdel, NJ and Jones Beach, NY) go up June 26. Other on-sale information is TBA.

For the tour, AEROSMITHSteven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer — will thrust themselves into the middle of the audience, turning the seats along the 70-foot-long ramp into one big front row experience that will enable fans to get up close and personal with rock's quintessential live act. AEROSMITH were most recently on the road with their hugely successful and wildly acclaimed "Rockin' The Joint" tour, which packed arenas from October '05 through February '06 in what critics called "an exultant return," "a wet, wild and totally sweat-filled night" and "a testosterone-charged set of their patented blues-soaked rock."

Coming off one of the most successful tours of 2005, MÖTLEY CRÜE is bringing a whole new bag of tricks out this year, with massive production and pyro, determined to out-do themselves in the decadent MÖTLEY fashion. Major surprises are in store from the world's most infamous rock band. "As comebacks go, this one is monstrous," Rolling Stone said of their wildly successful Red, White & Crue tour, and this year proves to be even bigger.

For the few members of each band that still have hair, this overpriced overhyped tour the most important member IS going to be the hair dresser. Nothing like a few gray roots showing or toupees flying off during a set.

I think these 2 bands are a great fit. It should be a good time for anyone who likes these bands. I wonder how much tickets are gonna be? I saw the Crue when they came thhrough my town. They were really good....for some former washed up rock n' rollers. It's crazy how they came back so huge. I don't get it....but it's cool I guess.

I still don't understand people saying stupid shit like "I could care less about either of these bands." or "This tour will go down in history as... oh wait... both these bands are boring as fuck! Nevermind." WHY fucking READ AND RESPOND to the post if you you "can't care less" or the "bands are boring as fuck"?! Grow the fuck up.

Anyway...throw in Van Halen and Kiss and you really have something!!

Im not big on these bands at all,
and I can understand why fan's would be pumped to see this...but I still must pose the obvious question: "Do You Guys Realise That Vince Neil Cant Sing Anymore?"
I mean, the crue have always been regarded as one of the worst live acts (musicly), thats why they do all the stage theatric's to try and distract the audience from how bad they sound.
Can a Crue fan please lemme know if this is known through out your circle? Or are you to buisey watching Tommy do flips in the air, and half naked women walk around on stage to notice that Vince cant hit the high notes?
Thanks,

While I'm sure this tour will sell tickets, count me out...

I saw CRUE on some freebie tickets last year and they were horrible...Vince makes Joe Elliot sould like Luciano Pavarotti nowadays...and the band was pretty loose in their playing. It was fun though...

'Smith on the other hand SOUNDED great when I caught 'em with KISS a couple of years back, but were pretty boring live (and I've seen them several times over the years).

But it's a smart pairing...hope those of you who do go are more impressed with these bands than I've been in recent years.

And of course AEROSMITH is closing...

How great of a singer is Tom Araya?
Well he doesn't even sing...and doesn't have to!
He just screams!
How hard is that?

And anyone who goes to a Crue show expecting to see flawless musicianship has totally missed the point about Motley Crue!
Go to a boring fucking dream theater concert then!

"I mean, the crue have always been regarded as one of the worst live acts (musicly), thats why they do all the stage theatric's to try and distract the audience from how bad they sound."

No they use theatrics to make it the ultimate rock 'n roll show!
They have also played many shows without any theatrics at all (Moscow) and "proved" (if you want) that they are as great either way!
And again:
Motley Crue are rock 'n roll, not rocket science!

Well, thats too bad, because most talented bands are Better Live.
I mean, look at pink Floyd for example. They refused to include Anything on thier albums that they couldnt recreate live.
However with the Crue in the studio, they make Vince Neil sound like he can actualy sing. but then when you hear him live (especialy now) it's just tragic how bad he sounds.
Im not saying that they suck, or that they are bad musicians, im just saying they dont sound very good live, and have no imagination when they play live. Its all as textbook as they can make it, but it still sounds like garbage.

Oh, and dont compaire Tom Araya to Vince Neil.
But hey, for a metal singer, at least he still CAN scream. I mean, James Hetfield wishes he could still get it done live too.....
