TWISTED SISTER Announce Title, Release Date For 'Christmas' Album

According to MTV.com, Razor & Tie Records has set an October 17 release date for TWISTED SISTER's "final" disc, "A Twisted Christmas", featuring metal versions of holiday classics including "Deck the Halls" and "O Come All Ye Faithful". TWISTED SISTER are currently recording and have had to cancel performances at European festivals this summer to have the LP completed for the holiday season (as first reported here on June 1). TWISTED SISTER's re-recording of their classic 1984 album "Stay Hungry", dubbed "Still Hungry", was issued in 2004 on Spitfire Records.

i love how all these 80's bands are STILL playing those same, tired "hits" from 20 years ago. NO new material. maybe one new studio album. they have to do package tours just to pack a "free with paid admission" fair. just look at poison & cinderella. cinderella hasn't released a new album in 12 YEARS.

I will give twisted sister and Dee Snider a lot of credit we all have to remember he was one of the targets of Tipper Gore back in the eighties with all the censorship and they were put on the "naughty list" so if twisted sister wants to do a christmas album to make a little money more power to them.

Hell if just some of those nostalgia fans go and buy iit for 10$ it's still better than nothing even if the record company ends up taking 80% they will still get a pay day.Honestly I think that's what there lookin for more than anything a payday.

Twisted Sister are the kings of Grindcore. Motley Crue are black metal gods. Stryper are the masters of satanic death metal. Winger is a cool band and they are the greatest thrash metal band of all time. those bands are so heavy. too metal to be true. they make Pestilence, Atheist, and Behemoth sound like U2.

I like Twisted Sister but, I think it's really hypocritical how Dee Snyder had the balls to say that Iron Maiden should "hang it up" and call it a day. 'Scuse me but, Maiden are recording new material and, TS are doing one last novelty album. Not to mention Maiden could blast TS off the stage any day.

As a very old Twisted Sister fan (Stay Hungry was my first record ever) I must admit this christmas record thingy seems like a stupid idea. TS CAN write good music, why not get their act together and deliver a new record w 80ies fumed hard rock n roll instead of covering christmas songs. What true metal fan celebrates Jesus (Anti)Christ anyway?

I'm a TS fan from way back but I gotta admit that this is one of THE GAYEST things EVER!!!
Still, I don't think there's anything else left for then to do really. They had their time and place... Loved all albums up to and including Come Out and Play and still spin 'em now & then

Anyone who's into Xmas metal stuff check out Korn's Jingle Balls.. You may hafta download it but it came a bonus disk with some versions of Issues..
That is what any self-respecting metalhead should blast at Xmas time..
