AEROSMITH To Join Forces With ROLLING STONES, WHO For Halifax Concert? - July 1, 2006

According to HalifaxLive.com, Halifax Regional council is expected to announce on Tuesday, July 4 the signing of a deal with aging rockers the ROLLING STONES that will culminate in a major outdoor concert in Halifax this coming fall. Also slated to perform are AEROSMITH and THE WHO.

On the heels of the report leaked today by a local news service, concerned citizens already armed with the knowledge that no city has ever shown a profit from STONES' concerts, are already raising doubts that Halifax can afford to host what is being touted as a "major concert." With preliminary projections of well over $100,000 in security and other basic but necessary services alone, the people of Halifax will soon be demanding and rightly so an indepth accounting of the full cost of such a venture including concerns that taxpayers could be facing yet another property tax hike.

	Those aging rockers still rocks. The Stones are The Greatest Rock N Roll Band In The World. If your favorite dumb-metal band is still selling out stadiums all around the world in 30 years, then I'll shut the fuck up. But it won't happen, ignorant assholes.

	The Stones definatly put on the best show in the world. The prices are ridiculous, but atleast when you get to the show you can see why. The last concert I went to they had a 6 story stage that was about 100 yards long. They deserve the money.

	i have to agree that the stones hold the most regard here i just wish THE WHO would drop THE WHO name and do what PLANT AND PAGE did in the mid 90s. its just not THE WHO without the ox anymore. one can pass away but they had the most powerful rythem section in the 60s and 70s and when they lost keith they where still able to get by but without the ox no, its not the same. i have around 100 who live shows from the late 60s to early 80s live they fuckin blew the roof off every place they ever played and even in 96,2000 they smoked live. but in 2002 without the ox i felt the change. THE WHO have always been my favorite band next to SAXON, UFO, PRIEST,AC/DC, URIAH HEEP , DEEP PURPLE RAINBOW AND STATUS QUO. if you cant understand that then you are just a kid that dont know any better and its your age that makes you ignorant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
