CADILLAC Drops LED ZEPPELIN From Ads - July 18, 2006
According to AutoWeek.com, General Motors is breaking from its "Break Through" Cadillac campaign and dropping LED ZEPPELIN's song "Rock and Roll" — which it has used in commercials since early 2003 — as its soundtrack.

The move is meant to attract younger affluent buyers from foreign luxury rivals, industry sources say.

Cadillac will unveil a new campaign in a series of print ads late this month, followed by TV spots to air in mid-August, a Cadillac spokesman confirmed to AutoWeek.com.

The new campaign will not have a theme song. It will be more "story oriented" to build the brand's image, say dealers who have seen the storyboards.

First and foremost, I can't stand for the life of me Led Zeppelin. By far the most over-rated band of all time. Can't stand the fuckers even if I try. The less Zepp I have to hear the better, and I speak for all man-kind on this one. Just having to hear that fucking weasal Plant sing a note is a legal form of torture in the truest form of the term. I guess what I'm trying to say is...

FUCK LED ZEPPELIN!

dude, here's the thing... if nothing is happening with bands you like, then what are they supposed to post as news? nothing? then everyone will complain about how come there is no news! meshuggah suck, in my opinion anyway, regardless, they don't post news on them, coz they aren't doing anything at the moment! when they actually do something, then they'll post something about it.

it's really quite simple. :P

"when was the last time a news story pertaining to meshuggah or necrophagist was posted?"

WHAT'S TO POST? HOW THESE BANDS WERE PLAYING SOME DUMP-BAR IN FRONT OF 35 TEENAGERS IN NORTH DAKOTA?

THESE BANDS SUCK, AND NO ONE A FUCK ABOUT THEM

SO, JUST WAIT UNTIL THESE SHITTY BANDS PULL UP TO YOUR SMALL TOWN HICKVILLE; PAY $3.50 FOR THEIR TICKET, AND SEE THEM SUCCESSFULLY EARN (ONLY) TEN CENTS OF YOUR MONEY; THEN, FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!

Cadillac's are still made of metal aren't they?
I guess that's why this news is on here.

Zep is great but sometimes when you make so much money to begin with, you don't need to have your tune played out even more by a fucking car commercial that makes you vomit. You know what else pisses me off? The fucking VH1 specials about metal with all the washed up actors who know nothing about metal commenting on metal. Where the fuck is the props to RAVEN!!! Fuck Vh1!
