'Best Of' Collections From FEAR FACTORY, SEPULTURA, TYPE O NEGATIVE Coming In September

On September 11, Roadrunner will be releasing a set of ultimate metal albums. These "best of" collections will pull together the best material from some of metal's greatest artists. The first batch includes music from:
FEAR FACTORY
SEPULTURA
TYPE O NEGATIVE
"Whether you are a huge fan of these artists and have their back catalogue, or if you want a career summary, these are a must-have for any dedicated metaller," according to a posting on the Roadrunner web site.
More details are coming soon, including full track listing, packaging, bonus material and free MP3s.

Look I love Type O Negative and Fear Factory as much as the next guy (Sepultura are kinda lame though)...but do these bands really deserve a "Best Of" album? They're not the type of bands that really produce "hits". Type O had some semi hits I guess, but they've already had a Best Of album come out a few years ago.
Stop trying to cash-in Roadrunner!! If you really have to cash in again on these bands, keep doing what you've been doing with the 25th anniversary 2CD deluxe editions of albums in your catalog. Those are actually worth the money because they're surprisingly well-done, but don't give us some stupid Best-of with songs fans already own. It's lame.

best of cds are for groups that arent makin money anymore , want out of their contract,or for dildos that arent true fans of the band and want the most popular of their music collection without shelling out 40-50 dollars for all the cds that band has

I have to strongly agree with the above 2 comments that were posted while I sat here typin' my bullshit... "Soul of a New Machine" and "Demanufacture" are both amazing fuckin' albums that any metal fan should be proud to own. Plus (as I'm sure we all know) RR has ultimate / super / deluxe / limited / "fuck you, customers" / special editions out for both of 'em, and there's actually some decent extra content there...

... Type O's "Bloody Kisses", or Sep's "Arise" instead - those are two Best Of-albums for ya right there!
How about releasing something REALLY interesting instead, such as the Roadrunner United concert in DVD!?
Shit, I for one would cream my pants just to see Glen Benton do Obituary, "Ripper" Owens sing Alice in Hell, Andreas Kisser play Dead By Dawn, etc. It'd even be worth suffering through all that nu-metal crap on there!

Buy a $3 wire at Radio Shack and connect your headphones out from your computer to your receiver (can be "CD" or "Aux")
Load your CD's into I-tunes.
Select "file", then "new playlist" proceed to name your playlist
Drag and drop your favorite songs in your new playlist
You're ready to bang that head to the "best of"

Isnt it kinda wierd that as soon as Road Runner decides a band isnt worthy of their label anymore and kicks the band off they come out with a greatest hits? This label seems to have shit on just about every band that made this label what it is today. Ive heard nothing but bad things about how this label treats bands and I just dont understand how they can be as sucessfull as they are with the way they treat the artists.

Roadrunner will do almost any goddamn thing they can to get some dough. I personally like all three of those bands, especially Fear Factory, but just because its coming out of roadrunner, im not gonna buy it. I can just buy the actuall bands cds.
