Woman Assaulted Near OZZFEST Over The Weekend

Dan P. Blake of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Tinley Park police today are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in a field outside the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre during the Ozzfest music festival over the weekend. A shirtless man, described as about 30, approached the 20-year-old victim as she was leaving the festival after 8 p.m. Sunday on the far west end of an unused parking lot at the outdoor venue at 191st and Ridgeland Avenue, said Tinley Park police Cmdr. Phil Valois. "She had a chance encounter with the subject, they talked for awhile and at some point he grabbed her and assaulted her in a grassy area of the parking lot," Valois said. There have been no witness reports of the attack, and Valois said it was unlikely the attack was seen or heard by anyone. The woman, an Indiana resident, reported the assault to the theater's staff 10 minutes later. The attacker was described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium, muscular build, short blond hair and no facial hair. You guys are all assholes. It doesn't matter what the victim looks like or whether or not she was in the wrong for walking in an area alone - she was attacked and most of you are poking fun at it. How pathetic can you get?
What if it was your mom or sister? What if it was your wife or girlfriend? Show some fucking respect! Hopefully the dickless asshole who did this is caught and sent to prison where he can be attacked in the same cowardly fashion that he attacked this girl in. I hope she's alright.

Tinley Park is about 36 miles south-west of Chicago. It is a very calm area and the crime rate is extremely low. Orland Park, its neighbor, was recently named the 45th best city to live in...in the NATION.
That being said, there are some major wierdos that wander around there before/after/during concerts. I feel bad for the girl....and hope they catch the douche.

Interesting fact about suicide, not to change the story, the chances of being "killed" by it is 1 in 109. The stat analsys is in the latest national geographic (this includes the world). I thought that was pretty high. It is a pretty cool issue if you see it layin around at your local rib joint.

There is no chance I was going there with the heat index over 105...My heart goes out to that young lady. Being from Chicago this story really sucks. Even though the venue is in Tinley Park...35 miles away...it still makes all us Chicagoans look bad. I know it never will happen at Gigantour!!!
