IRON MAIDEN Book Author Slams BLABBERMOUTH.NET 'Idiots With Limited Brain Cells'

Paul Stenning, author of GUNS N' ROSES "The Band That Time Forgot" and AC/DC "Two Sides to Every Glory", who is going to be publishing a 130,000-word biography on IRON MAIDEN, entitled "30 Years of the Beast - The Complete Biography 1976-2006" ( cover), has slammed the BLABBERMOUTH.NET detractors who have posted negative comments about his previously released excerpts from the MAIDEN book. In a posting, titled "Fucking Assholes Permeate BLABBERMOUTH Like Unpaid Mutant Populous", on his official MySpace page, Stenning writes, "Okay, I admit it, I'm a sucker for reading what people say about me. I made the mistake AGAIN of reading the pathetic comments on Blabbermouth. OOhhh I'm a 'fucking hack.' Well, that would mean I take on routine or commercial writing. Hardly. Yes it's vaguely commercial because it's in the public domain, but I do mean vague. I mean, INTENSE HAMMER RAGE have recordings in the public domain, but songs about child porn are hardly commercial. "Before anyone points it out, yes, I know these are idiots with limited brain cells who write comments on that site, but what really made me laugh as well as irked me, is the insinuation from the same guy (mutant) who reckons 'he or you' could have done the same job I do. I have one thing to say to that: fucking prove it! Go and do it, see how easy it is (I'm being sarcastic). "Then come back to me, once you've got published and sold thousands of books and say to me, 'There you go, told you so.' I've read Stenning's crap and he has a 5th grade education with a perspective of a one dimesional Penny Saver editor.
Anyone who is lucky enough to get a contract with a major band needs to realize peopel are buying the book because of the BAND, nit his name.
I've written stories in my spare time that make his writings read like a childrens pop up book.
Hey Stenning, pick up a vocabulary text book and a grammatical glossary next time you write a book, it'll give more credence to the metal world.

The problem is your focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. don't judge a book by the cover right? As a fan of a band I want any book, album, poster, pin or whatever item you can think of (see KISS) to look cool and inviting to buy. When I would see this book in a store I immediatly would skip it. Was that really the best photograph available? And he calls himself a fan right?
Golden rule in adverstising; any publicity is good publicity even when your book is criticized upon.
One thing leaves me wondering; what will he say to an Iron Maiden bandmember who might openly judge it as a crap book?
I know there are several journalists on BLBBRMTH, Maiden's promocampaign is starting up; please when you get the chance to do an interview with IM, ask about this book...please...make our day, month, year!

I was complaining solely about Maiden not having played my hometown in almost 20 years myself rather than the book on the last article. Personally I hope the book goes ahead and wish the author luck because of his knowledge of the band as well as knowing the band members personally in order to get a clear concise history as to what Iron Maiden are all about. Nothing can be more damaging to a band's autobiography than pure speculation and conjecture.
Of course if he reads my second rant on this article it won't make headlines unfortunately. And I really did mean every word I said too here. Incidentally most rants and ranters on this site aren't taken seriously by the rest of us with something important to say. It's all just text on a screen anyway.

Why do people constantly refer to Iron Maiden with names that would indicate they are heavy or hard core? There is nothing heavy about Iron Maiden, maybe when they first came out they were heavy compared to some, but not anymore. You heard their new song. I have heard radio songs heavier then that. Anyone is supposed to buy a book from someone who makes sweeping generalizations about specific groups in society, does so for publicity for a (more than likely) weak book, and we're supposed to buy it? Of course there will be a few douchebags everywhere you go, but this assflap obviously hasn't passed a sociology class - what does that say for his "intellect" (and lack thereof)?
I say boycott the book - it could be the next Shakesperean masterpiece, but the writer is a twat with no perspective. I doubt this guy could write a credible book / essay / post on something that matters.
As far as selling thousands, Britney Spears has sold millions. Doesn't make it any good, chummer.
Also, regarding complaining to your MySpace friends about your Blabbermouth enemies... does this sound like a crackhead complaining about a cokewhore to anyone else?

Firstly, he reads these posts because he already questions his skills as a writer, and therefore needs to see what others are thinking about him. Obviously his fears were realized when he read the commentary.
Secondly, if he was a "real" author, he wouldn't have to "glom" off of rock bands for "guaranteed sales" from their rabid, product-hungry fanbase. He would write a "real" book.
Oh wait,....Paul has three problems....
Thirdly, he just pissed off and alienated about half of the Iron Maiden book-buying fanbase with his crybaby, malice-filled shenanigans....
