SEPULTURA: Video Clips From Portugal's VILAR DE MOUROS Festival Posted Online - July 26, 2006
Brazilian thrashers SEPULTURA played their first official concert with their new drummer, Jean Dolabella (ex-UDORA), last Friday (July 21) at the Vilar de Mouros festival in Portugal. Check out low-quality video clips at YouTube.com: "Roots Bloody Roots" (video), "Crown and Miter" (video).

SEPULTURA's setlist for the Vilar de Mouros festival in Portugal – Friday, July 21, 2006:

01. Dark Wood Of Error
02. Refuse / Resist
03. Convicted In Life
04. False
05. Dead Embrionic Cells
06. Ostia
07. Crown and Miter
08. Sepulnation
09. Choke
10. Spit
11. Buried Words
12. Troops Of Doom
13. Beneath The Remains
14. Breed Apart
15. Territory
16. Arise
17. Come Back Alive
18. Roots

As previously reported, SEPULTURA made their first public appearance with Jean Dolabella on July 11 at Clube Belfiore in São Paulo during the Brazilian release party for their new CD, "Dante XXI". Check out pictures at Whiplash.net.

Dolabella joined SEPULTURA as the replacement for founding member Igor Cavalera, who left the band last month due to "artistic differences."

Igor announced earlier in the year that he was taking a break from the group's touring activities to spend time with his second wife and their new son (who was born in January). Filling in on drums during the band's European tour with IN FLAMES was Roy Mayorga, who played with Igor's brother Max in SOULFLY for several years in the late '90s and again in 2001-2003.

Igor is the second Cavalera to leave SEPULTURA. In 1996, Max Cavalera exited the group after the rest of the band fired Max's wife Gloria as SEPULTURA's manager.

Dante is a great album and if you cannot appreciate it then stick your head in your rear and listen to the crap you like. All those saying that Cavaleras are true Sepultura are somewhat desperate pussies living in the past. Get Over It! Cavaleras are gone and it doesn't matter if the the other guys are called Sepultura or Whatevera. If you like the music then who cares, if you don't then stop moaning and get yourself a pint (age verification may be required) and relax! RELAX!!!!

Bye ladies!

COMMENT | The quality of the clips is way too crappy

You can't hear anything. I'm sure Jean is a great drummer or they wouldn't have chosen him. I hope they carry on with this lineup and release another 15 albums or so.

DANTE XXI kicks arse.

They were bad ass muthafucka's for many years, but they are done.

Even if they get back together, I am skeptical they can create a good album....seeing them tour again is what I want.

Sepultura w/ Exodus, Testament, and a smaller band like Soilent Green would be a kick ass 2007 summer tour!!!

Sepultura is not even close to as good as it was with Max fronting the band. Green is okay. I actually like Soulfly better compared to the new Sepultura.

Sepultura´s Anger were the Cavalera Brothers ..now it´s just another Metal band .. YES, Dante XXI is very good, but it´s not Sepultura...it will be better to change the name and later make a Sepultura reunion .... but, well, money talks man!!!

LANCE BASS, band member of N SYNC, says he's gay and in a "very stable" relationship with 32-year-old actor Reichen Lehmkuhl, winner of season four of CBS' "Amazing Race."

"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," he tells the People magazine.

Well, either of them, present Sepultura or Soulfly, has the magic that Sepultura HAD up to "Arise". So it doesn´t really matter who puts who on shame now, does it?
