KORN Kicks Off FAMILY VALUES Tour; Setlist Revealed

KORN officially resurrected the Family Values tour last night (Saturday, July 29) in Antioch, Tennessee, with a line-up featuring DEFTONES, 10 YEARS, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and others. The group's setlist was as follows: 01. Intro02. Right Now03. Politics04. Twist05. Love Song06. A.D.I.D.A.S.07. Falling Away From Me08. Ball Tounge09. Lodi Dodi10. Coming Undone11. Got The Life12. Throw Me Away13. Shoots & Ladders14. Wicked15. Here To Stay16. Thoughtless17. Freak On A Leash18. Hollow Life (Acoustic) 19. Twisted Transistor20. Y'all Want A Single21. BlindAccording to KornUnleashed.net, highlights of the show included: * Chino Moreno of the DEFTONES and Jonathan Davis playing "Wicked" for the first time in over six years. * KORN leaving the stage and coming in the middle of the crowd to perform an acoustic set of "Hollow Life". * The Family Values 2006 tour drew more people than any other event held at the Starwood Amphitheater. * STONE SOUR performing "Through Glass" live for the first time ever. The first Family Values package debuted in 1998 and featured RAMMSTEIN, LIMP BIZKIT, ICE CUBE and ORGY in addition to KORN. Two later editions, in 1999 and 2001, included acts like STAIND, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, LINKIN PARK, FILTER and METHOD MAN. This summer's tour is offering lawn tickets for a mere $9.99 at each stop. Korn has always come up with some good beats. I don't like everything they have ever come up with, but overall they can get a rad groove going when they want to. I realize the majority of blabbermouth readers dislike them, but just expand your mind a bit is all I can tell you. They were especially good when Mike Bordin had to fill in drum duties for them. Yes, I do wince at their cover of Cameo's " Word Up ". That sounded dumb. However, "Helmet In the Bush" is a great song. Overall, a good band. Here comes the Tsunami of hate mail now...

i like korn. always have, always will. meh, don't really care what mindless crap gets thrown at me, i actually enjoy reading everyone bag on them, its quite funny, especially those that try defend korn, however, this is cool, good to see they're still selling out venues, and when they came to australia in april, they were good, so yeah! i dunno, this is a pointless post, i'm drunk.

I like the set list except for the new shit, I really want to get into korns new shit but I just can't. They do put on fucking sick shows and usually have crazy stage setups too. $10 lawn tickets is really cool of them to do thats what it should be like at Ozzfest, however that will never happen.

Familly Values is terrible. Tickets are so cheap because thats the only way they can fill the seats, and even at that price, they are still playing to half empty arena's.
If you like korn, good for you, to each his own. But I just enjoy pointing out how much of a joke this entire tour is compaired to the other Real metal tours out there.

And that's the problem.. you guys want "real metal" tours where all the bands look and sound alike---four or five white guys all dressed in black, trying to look evil and act badass, playing re-worked Slayer riffs and blast beats. To all but the most serious fans...all those 'real metal' bands might as well be the same band.
There's nothing wrong with that, if that's your thing... but, you can't expect everyone to place themselves in the VERY limited, one dimensional, Metal box that the rest of you guys put yourselves in.
Family Values has always featured a variety Rock and Hip Hop artists... no where... anywhere... has Family Values ever been declared as a Real Metal tour.
Ps-RoachJOE, LODI DODI is a Hip Hop tune from the 80s originally done by Slick Rick.

You might not like these bands, but at least you have to admire Korn for putting such diverse bands on a bill:
Primus
STP
Ice Cube
Crystal Method
Filter
Rammstein
Incubus
Static-X
Pantera did the same thing in 2000 and gave Powerman 5000 and Satyricon opening slots for them... None of those bands had anything in common musically…
I dont listen to Pantera, but I liked what they did with the bill..

This may have been mentioned by someone else but I cannot read 50 posts by Blabbermouth users. It was over a month ago and my memory is far from perfect but i'm pretty sure the statement about the Stone Sour song is wrong. I am quite positive they played Through Glass at Download this year (I was there).

okay, i am and will always be a korn fan.. they have been my fave for over 11 years now and nothing can change that.. it is said that the first two cds were "metal" and after that they went "downhill".. well, it is just the band evolving.. maybe they arent as angry as they use to be.. maybe they just thought that they should turn their music into a different style.. who know why they did it.. i find it amusing that these little kids get on here and have nothing better to do than piss and moan abot some bands they like and dont like.. all ppl have different tastes of music and more, so save ur sad little teen-anger-filled comments for someone who cares.. korn is a very talented band.. i mean, to be in the mainstream for sooo long and keep "recruiting" fans even though their music has evolved soo much.. i love listening to them, old and new, and appreciate their talent.. and yes, it is talent. and to the dumb person who posted about him screaming about his daddy beating him and he was crying like a little baby.. why dont u read into it a little more.. at least u can tell his music has soul and feeling and thought put into it unlike most of the new bands out now.. dont get me wrong, their tumes are catchy and i like some of them, so im not a hypocrite and dissing bands.. but anywho, i think ppl could spend thier time on better things than dissing bands that they probably ahve never even sat down and lisstened to.. i think its comical.. oh, and does anyone know the real reason why family values got cancelled in stlouis? it woulda been liek my 5000000 time seeing korn and ive never seen them with deftones
