DEEP PURPLE Bassist Sets Release Date For Solo Effort - Aug. 21, 2002

DEEP PURPLE bassist Roger Glover will issue his latest solo effort, entitled Snapshot, on September 2nd via Eagle Rock Records.

Recorded at Acme Studios in Mamaroneck, New York, and engineered by Peter Denenberg (who helped on the 25th anniversary remixes for Machine Head), the album "is called Snapshot because it was done very quickly, despite the several years I have been working in it," said Glover. "Most of the musicians on it had no idea what kind of music they were being asked to play and all rose to the occasion magnificently, most of the performances were done in one take, some lovely moments in the studio for which I'm truly grateful. I am a lucky man."

	Should anyone ever give a fuck about this guy? Deep Purple has been on the downfall ever since Ian Gillan left and have become gayer and gayer with each growing year. All they release now are live albums that suck ass. Go buy a Pantera CD instead.

	It helps to actually have your facts straight before spouting off about people that have accomplished more than you could in 10 lifetimes. Ian Gillan didn't leave, it was Ritchie Blackmore and besides the last album with Blackmore sucked, and the next one with Morse was great. Besides, anyone who names themselves after one of the worst bands in history basically has an opinion that isn't worth shit.
