IRON MAIDEN Singer BRUCE DICKINSON To Pilot Bomber Aircraft

On Saturday, August 12, IRON MAIDEN fans can get to see singer Bruce Dickinson when he fulfills the life-long dream of getting into an Avro Vulcan bomber aircraft ( photo) as the special guest of the Vulcan Restoration Trust at Southend Airport in England during their Vulcan Restoration Trust Open Day. The Vulcan has been at Southend Airport since 1986 and this year is the 20th anniversary of her arrival is being celebrated. The Vulcan does not fly but is still in fully live taxiable condition which means that she will accelerate on full deafening power to over 100mph down Southend's runway. The Vulcan is one of Bruce's favorite aircraft and the Vulcan Restoration Trust is delighted to be able to give him the opportunity to take her for a spin! The taxi-run is, of course, subject to aircraft serviceability. Gates open 10 am. Cockpit visits all day and many other attractions. Admission £4 and £2 concessions. (Thanks: MaidenNorway.com)

Don't worry, this story will be pulled in about 20 minutes, just like all the other Bruce headlines.
The plane can't even fly, so what's the point? It can't be so difficult to repair the aircraft to flight condition, especially for an air show.

Too the guy who said it cant be that hard to get a plane serviceable. You should know that theres a reason that there are so few flying examples of military history, its because these planes are sold to scrap yards and third world countries after there service life and many times parts are no longer made or just impossible to get.
The next best thing to flying a plane is taxiing on a runway. I'd be just honored to sit inside a Spitfire running or not yet alone a peice of military history like that.
There are only a handful of flying expamples of some of the greatest aircraft in history and were lucky to have that few.

I once got to go on a ride in a P-51, compared to the 172 I was flying at the time, OH MY GOD Hahahahahah grea time.
