ALICE COOPER: 'The Nightmare Returns' To Receive DVD Release Tomorrow - July 31, 2006
ALICE COOPER's "The Nightmare Returns" will get an official DVD release on Tuesday, August 1 via Geffen Records (August 28 in Europe). This concert was captured live on MTV on Halloween night, 1986 in front of a sold-out audience of 20,000 at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena. This highly theatrical concert tour was in support of ALICE COOPER's 1986 MCA release, "Constrictor", and was said to be one of ALICE's biggest and bloodiest shows. The lineup of Kane Roberts and Devlin 7 on guitars, Kip Winger on bass, Ken Mary on drums, and Paul "Horrorvitz" Taylor on keyboards, along with additional theatrical performers, created an all-new show that included elements of the past while embracing the newer more metallic sound.

"The Nightmare Returns" track listing:

01. Intro tape
02. Welcome To My Nighmare
03. Billion Dollar Babies
04. Years Ago (instrumental excerpt)
05. No More Mister Nice Guy
06. Years Ago (instrumental excerpt)

09. The World Needs Guts
10. Give It Up

12. Only Women Bleed
13. Go To Hell
14. Ballad Of Dwight Fry

This is truly an awesome show..it helped turn me onto metal back in the day.

Kane Roberts was the funny thing...huge guy, and then had a solo CD that royally sucked ass! I remember my college roommate and I having the tape, and whomever did something stupid during the week...had to keep the tape...and actually listen to the damn thing.

I found the cd in the used bin not long ago and bought it for $2.99....it still sucked ass! I put it on eBay thinking that maybe I could get my $3 back....it sold for like $50!!!!????

Anybody know what the guy is doing now?

I remember watching this concert on MTV on Halloween night in 1986. It's what turned me on to the Coop's music and theatrics. I taped it that night as well and watched it many times until the VHS version was released. I really can't wait to see/hear the dvd. It was a fantastic show and the setlist pretty right on. I'll be buying it.

Along with Welcome To My Nightmare this is the best Alice shw to be released, I have the VHS version and it's great. But from what I hear the next tour for Raise Your Fist And Yell was even bigger and better and alot bloodier, I have only seen pictures but I can believe it considering the setlist features a good amount of RYFAY. I hope that one gets released one day too.

...is one hell of a guitarplayer! I'm going to pick this one up, that's for sure!

I would love to see a live-DVD with songs from the "Raise Your Fist And Yell" album, that one was even better than "Constrictor"!!!
