EVANESCENCE: New Single Available For Streaming

AOL Music is currently streaming the new EVANESCENCE single, "Call Me When You're Sober", at this location. The video for the song will debut August 7 on MTV. According to MTV.com, the clip features singer Amy Lee wearing a red satin cape and sitting at an antiquated vanity. A young man — with crystal blue eyes and scruffy, overgrown facial hair and sideburns — approaches her from behind, caressing her shoulders and softly kissing her neck as she tries to rebuff his advances. "The song is so literal, the lyrics and everything — I mean, obviously, just by the title — that we felt like the video would have the freedom to go in a less literal direction," she explained. "So it's [a modern re-imagining of] Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf and sort of a more cool, superhero, rock and roll Little Red Riding Hood." The song's subject matter, Lee said, involves "something that everyone's been through" — the frustration of "dealing with someone with an addiction, which is really hard, especially when you love someone." EVANESCENCE's new album, "The Open Door", is scheduled for release on October 3 via Wind-Up Records.

I am sure Amy Lee is in no relation to Geddy Lee of Rush because he actually is talented. Amy Lee is a a vocalist who sounds pretty good on record (because of the technological capabilities these days in music recording) but live, SHE IS FUCKIN HORRIBLE. This band MUST GO! They shouldnt even be listed on this site as a topic fo discussion. Jessica Simpson is more worthy.

Rex1020 if you expect someone to sound exactly the same live as they do on albums then I could see how you would think that, I've seen live performances on tv too and find it refreshing that someone is actualy singing live instead of lip synching mistakes and all.
