EAGLE ROCK Sells SPITFIRE RECORDS - Aug. 2, 2006
In its first move under its new name of Redux Records, the company formerly known as Sheridan Square Entertainment has acquired the 200-album Spitfire Records catalog from Eagle Rock Entertainment.

The Spitfire catalog includes BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, TWISTED SISTER, ALICE COOPER, TED NUGENT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, DIO, TESTAMENT, SEBASTIAN BACH and THE EXPLOITED.

"We will continue to develop all genres of music in our core audio music business, Eagle Records, home to WILLY DEVILLE, GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS and JOHN MAYALL, as well as our ever-expanding Eagle Vision, Eagle Vision Classic, Eagle Eye Media and Eagle Media Productions visual products," Mike Carden, president of operations in North America and executive VP of the company, says in a statement.

"We've had a great run with Spitfire Records," adds Terry Shand, Chairman/CEO Eagle Rock Entertainment. "We will continue to key in on the acquisition of new multi-media projects, breaking new ground for the future, focusing already existing efforts into high-definition and alternate forms of new media."

Geoff Kempin, COO Eagle Rock Entertainment, adds, "we are the preeminent company in the field of visual music, having a market share equal or surpassing some of the majors. Upcoming releases will include Zakk Wylde's 'European Invasion' as well as numerous others, including many of the visual projects of Spitfire Records, which will still fall under the Eagle Vision umbrella."

"We have many plans for the near-future of our audio and visual sides," concludes Carden, "and look forward to working with the great artists on our roster as well as cultivating the careers of an ever-expanding array of talented artists."

Zakk Wylde had his show in Manchester, England shut down by the Angels chapter for the mis-use of the Hell Angels Death head insignia. They also took all his merch and were intending to burn it, but i heard they haven't yet.

Don't mess with the real deal... yankee.
