ALICE COOPER Guests On CNN's 'Live From...': Video Available - Aug. 3, 2006

Alice Cooper visited CNN's "Live From..." on Wednesday (August 2) to talk with host Kyra Phillips about his plans to build a new teen center in Phoenix, Arizona. Watch the interview here.

Cooper recently told the Associated Press that his Christian, nonprofit Solid Rock Foundation has begun fundraising efforts for a 20,000-square-foot teen activity center to be called The Rock, to be built at Grand Canyon University in West Phoenix.

The $3 million center will feature a recording studio, indoor basketball courts, rock-climbing walls, coffeehouse, game room and concert hall. Construction is expected to begin next year.

"People don't lay in the sun in southwest Phoenix. There's lots of shootings going, there's lots of meth going on, there's lots of gangs," Cooper said. "In the middle of all that is a bunch of 12-, 13-, 14-year-old kids that can go one way or the other."

	.....Have to agree with both of you. Not just a rock icon, but a genuine nice guy (even if reverend smith dont think so) and is certainly doing more than he has to. Shamelessly underated all around.

	his last few albums have all been good. He doesn't need the original band. Plus all the band members HAVE made up except for one of them who still hates cooper. Alice has played with all o fthem or almost all of them every once in awhile since they broke up. Alice was with glen before he died. Michael Bruce is a drug addict and an asshole. Know your facts.

	I guess no one in your opinion can be genuine if you are going to use an example from so long ago. And I guess noboby ever grows up to become any thing greater then their past mistakes. If this is how you think, then all I can ask is when is your next bottle feeding?

	holy fuck I can't stand how dumb some people are. Alice is a christain but he doesn't talk about it unless he's asked about it. He doesn't spend his time preaching to others. Why can't people shut up and just listen to the music?
