I think these tunes have been on at least 5 other VH tributes.
The performers on these discs are in search of quick paydays. Who actually buys this shit, when you can listen to the real Van Halen?

...and Yankee Rose? like David Lee Roth needs a bigger head than he has already. A Van Halen tribute album, should have only Van Halen songs on it...why not throw on I can't Drive 55 and a couple of Extreme's tunes too?

haha

I was hoping that "Former GUNS N' ROSES, IRON MAIDEN, MÖTLEY CRÜE" members meant that it would be John Corabi on vocals, Dennis Stratton on guitars, Gilby Clarke on guitars, and the other GNR guys as a supergroup playing Van Halen songs. Oh well.

They were just as successful with Hagar. I love the Roth stuff, but I like the Cherone album.

..and in saying that, Iam in no way saying that Gary Cherone is Van Halen...so relax

haha

This disk has been out for awhile now. Joe Lynn Turner did a great job on DTNA. Notice there are no Van Hagar covers. Members of ABBA, JOURNEY, REO SPEEDWAGON and Barry Manilow are busy in the studio preparing a tribute to VAN HAGAR.

with most of these songs.Mine has a version of "pretty woman" on it to.Who the fuck comes up with these song's anyways? At least put real van-halen songs on these things.Let's have a tribute cd with bands covering dream theater's versions of the songs from master of puppets.BTW,light up the sky and atomic punk are good versions of those songs.

Yes this has been released a few years ago. But it does have two different songs on it than the one I have. A ton of great players on this CD. If you have the old one you don't want tyo buy this one. But if you missed the boat from before pick it up. Some songs on this one kick ass, some are good, some just o.k. & some just don't cut it like any other tribute.
