KISS Fans Protest Outside ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME

The Associated Press reports that about 200 KISS fans protested in front of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum to demand that the band be inducted into the hall. Fans, some from as far away as California, carried signs Saturday and had painted their faces in black-and-white to resemble KISS band members. Those participating in the half-hour demonstration were upset that the band, formed more than 30 years ago, has not been admitted, even though it has been eligible since the late 1990s. This is surprising to me. Kiss are major sellouts. It's all about the money to Kiss. The Rock & Roll Hall of Shame, by the Mistake By the Lake is all about money. The whole place is a major sell out. Seems to me the two would go hand in hand.

Kiss should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. They have influenced countless bands, from Pamtera to Anthrax, to Lenny Kravitz and Motley Crue. They have sold over 70 million albums. Have 25 gold and platinum albums. Have played in front of like 10 million fans. If they are not in the hall, there shouldnt be one. Especially with all the pure crap that is in there now that passes for rock, shit like Lynard Sknard, Elvis Costello and the Police. Please! And yes, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest most definetalty belong in the hall as well. Until those bands are in, screw the hall!

The hall has no real meaning anyway. It took them 35 years to induct Sabbath for gods sake.

well, it was a major influence of Dimebag Darrel but you dont really Kiss stuff on their records. I was just stating the obvious. KISS has influenced countless rock bands, some good and some bad. BUt they have made there mark on the scene. Whether you like them or not, the fact that they belong can not be in doubt. KISS is the definition of "rock and roll". And yes, I stand by what I said. Lynard Skynard (however you spell, I dont know because I hate them) do suck. Sorry, I dont listen to redneck, ignorant southern rock. Now get back in your pick up truck with your gun rack and confederate flag and spit out your chwein tobacco!

Put Kiss in the Hall or there should be no Hall!!!

A whole 200 people showed up to march.Oh well.Guess if they hadn't pissed off so many of the real fans there might have been more there than that.Long as thayer and singer are wearing Peter and Ace's designs and creations i won't support them in no manner.I don't care if they ever get in now!!!

is "2 Sides of the Coin".....also "Uh All Night" is pretty cool as well. But my favorite non makeup KISS video is definatley "X in Sex" cause when Paul Stanley crosses his arms in a "X" you know that is ROCK!!! Ace Frehley should come out with an album full of different "ACCKK" sounds like he did on Kiss Meets The Phantom, I think he could have a hit on his hands with some cool riffs and some "ACCKKKK's" over the top for vocals.
I fuken love KISS and anyone who dosent like them should go and buy a crate full of Gerbals and stick them up your ass.

I dont understand how someone can call Kiss a bunch of sellouts when the whole foundation of the band was built on one giant marketing scheme. If anything, you could call them sellouts for either unmasking themselves or releasing psycho circus...both of which should have marked the end of their careers.

You don't have to sound like Kiss when your big influence is kISS,
Lots of great musicians starting out learing to play their instrument after becomming a kiss fan in their youth. and the list of those now big names is endless.
for jackiechan,
if you don't hear the kiss influence on their albums is that becauce i don't think you know the first Two Pantera albums,try to get a copy of powermetal, hear it and watch the cover and than you know what i mean
( Dude, Those guys had the biggest hair in the eighties )
i was a big Kiss fan since the late seventies but nowadays i don't give a shit anymore, but they were there and did change the scene, that respect they do deserve, even if mr greed has'nt the same respect for us.
