KISS Reaps Plenty Of Online Support In ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Bid

The Plain Dealer reports that KISS fans pounded the computer keyboards and the pavement this weekend to make the argument that their favorite band belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. While the KISS Army rallied Saturday outside the Rock Hall, KISS got the most votes in an online poll at www.cleveland.com. Readers were asked to vote on whether 20 artists are worthy of induction and to write in their own nominees. Close behind KISS (175 votes) were GENESIS with 162 tallies and VAN HALEN at 147. (No distinction was made between GENESIS with Peter Gabriel and GENESIS with Phil Collins or the David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar versions of VAN HALEN.) CHICAGO and the MOODY BLUES (each 138), YES (129), ALICE COOPER (128), ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA (116), NEIL DIAMOND (103) and THE CARS (95) rounded out the top 10. German electronic pioneers KRAFTWERK were voted least worthy with only 18 votes. Fans took the time to write in nominations for dozens of bands. Homeboys the RASPBERRIES led with 59 write-in votes, just ahead of RUSH with 57. Among the others getting at least one vote: CARLY SIMON, TED NUGENT, BARRY MANILOW, DOOBIE BROTHERS, HUEY LEWIS & THE NEWS, TOTO, B-52S, MOTÖRHEAD, PHISH, THE SMITHS and ZZ TOP. I don't know much about the rules of the R&R HOF, but I think it is a safe assumption that brilliant marketing of merchandise doesn't make you a rock star.
Next up, Bill Gates will be inducted into the R&R HoF for his smash hit....Windows XP!!!!

This just in: We don't care if you hate kiss. It means nothing to us except that it tells us:
1. You have to much time on your hands.
2. You can't face the facts....( just like in school, when they told you two plus two is four, you kept insisting it was three.)
3. You are not smart enough to bypass reading something you don't like and is over your head, which in turn throws your brain matter into a frenzy and causes things ( mostly drool ) to escape from the opening in your head, which for most people, is reserved for speaking with some sort of intellegence.
4. While kiss is busy counting their money, you are wasting time counting kiss threads on here.
Please do us the pleasure of finding a more fulfilling outlet for your rage. Something that will make a difference in the world. Because, if you haven't noticed, it does nothing here or in the world of kiss.

warren moon was just inducted to the football HOF, now as a little kid, i remember him being a canadian football league god, but what exactly did he do in the NFL that made him HOF worthy? dont believe he ever won a superbowl, but they said he was the 1st black QB inducted. is that make him worthy of the honour??

I don't think Kiss deserve the RNRHOF.
but
I hope Kiss does make it in, just so that way they can put out 5 more "Best Of RNRHOF'ers, Kiss" compilations. Maybe then they'll feel fufilled and hang it up. The band I once worshipped as a kid has became the ultimate coporate rock poster child.
