DAVID LEE ROTH Scammer Also 'Booking' AXL ROSE And Others

Launch Radio Networks reports: The scammer who's been offering clubs a phony chance to book DAVID LEE ROTH has been doing the same thing with other artist names. According to Pollstar.com, the scam artist has also been trying to get people interested in shows by GUNS N' ROSES leader Axl Rose, POISON, POISON frontman Bret Michaels, and ALICE IN CHAINS. The phony agent has used a few different names, including one that's very similar to the name of Roth's real, well-known booking agent, who said, "He's using my name. That's where he really crossed the line with me. I'm going to drop coin on the table to find this nut." The real agent has been in contact with both the FBI and the Federal Trade Commission.
The scammer has tricked several venues by asking really low fees for well-known entertainers. Basically, the warning goes out to all clubs — if someone offers to get you an act for what seems like a lot less than the artist might normally charge, beware.
The phony agent also has certain mistakes in the contract he sends to the clubs, including a "force manure" clause instead of a "force majeure" clause, which voids obligation in the event of uncontrollable actions, including war and Acts Of God such as natural disasters.
The next legitimate gig for DAVID LEE ROTH is Saturday (August 19) in Clarkston, Michigan.

Somewhere at this very moment, Greed Simmons is making calls to BBQ joints and casinos and booking KI$$- then after he scams the deposit money out of them, he claims ignorance and blames the mix-up on "that phony promoter who's also been booking David Lee Roth and Axl."
Quite a scam, Greed. Can't wait for the cheesy plastic trinkets you'll market to the fans to commemorate this incident.

i dont see what the big deal is. there are a ton of people on here promoting their bands as well to get the word out about what theyre doing, im just doing the same as im a big fan of TREMULUS. how else do you expect to get the word out about a band? hardcoor, ive already dealt enough with you on the other thread, if youre just going to bash and name-call then i dont see why there is a need for us to continue, im not interested in your deconstructive ramblings. like i said before if you want to talk it out fine, if you really have a problem we can figure that out too. just because you lack wit and common sense doesnt mean we cant agree to disagree.

i do stay on cue. like i said above, i was ripped off a few weeks ago. probably not by this individual, i ended up buying tickets from some guy to a non existant show, so it was a little different, but yeah i was scammed. just saying people should watch out.

Way back in 1989, to be exact. I was a freshman at Ohio State, and I saw banners posted all over campus that said that Steve Adler (who was in Guns N Roses at the time) was going to do a drum clinic somewhere on campus (I can't remember the name of the building now). Well, I showed up, as did a lot of other people (I think every metalhead at Ohio State was there...all 30 of us....basically, back then, if you weren't into REM, U2, the Smiths, the Cure, all that shit, you weren't part of the "in" crowd), and...no Steve Adler. We all waited at least 30-40 minutes, and no one ever showed up. We were all quite pissed, including this little midget who was cussing in a high-pitched voice.
Wow...this story really brings back memories....

look im just trying to promote the band as a fan. whats wrong with this website? all i hear about is how cool it is and then everyone just tears on you for saying anything.

Greed Simmons:
- admits, in his own words, that he worships money and always wishes he had more
- has routinely scammed the fans over the years (IE "This is ABSOLUTELY our final tour, get your tickets now!," not playing on his own albums as advertised, spending entire decades (the 80s) admittedly concentrating on other endeavors and putting minimal effort into his band, recordings and performances, etc
These two reasons alone make him suspect in any scam, especially those involving financial gain.
