METALLICA On 'The Simpsons': Photo Available

METALLICA's much-anticipated appearance on "The Simpsons" will air as the program's season premiere on September 10, 2006 on the Fox network. Check out a photo at this location. The four members of METALLICA recorded their voices for the program last September. METALLICA joins a long list of artists who have been featured on the show, including BLINK-182, Mick Jagger, 'N SYNC, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, AEROSMITH, Elvis Costello, SONIC YOUTH, CYPRESS HILL, SMASHING PUMPKINS and Bette Midler. As previously reported, METALLICA's James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett — along with members of ARCH ENEMY and NEVERMORE — lent their voices to the cartoon series "Death Clock Metalocalypse", which had its premiere earlier in the month. METALLICA had previously recorded their voices for the animated show "Dave the Barbarian".
