GUNS N' ROSES: San Francisco Dates Announced

GUNS N' ROSES will reportedly play two San Francisco dates at The Warfield in late September. Tickets for the gigs are priced at $75 and will go on sale this Sunday (August 20). The band's U.S. itinerary is now shaping up as follows: Sep. 16 - Las Vegas, NV @ The Joint Sep. 17 - Las Vegas, NV @ The Joint Sep. 20 - San Francisco, CA @ The Warfield Sep. 21 - San Francisco, CA @ The Warfield Sep. 23 - Devore, CA @ Inland Invasion 2006 ***NOTE: The above-listed dates — with the exception of the Inland Invasion 2006 concert — have yet to be officially confirmed by the band's management. GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose has been saying that the band's long-delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy", will be out later this year. GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA ( Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold more than 13,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending August 6), bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.09 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Check out video clips of GUNS N' ROSES performing at the Rock Am Ring festival in early June in Nürburgring, Germany: "Welcome to the Jungle" ( video), "Better" ( video), "I.R.S." ( video), "The Blues" ( video), "You Could Be Mine" ( video).

axl has kept his guard up for awhile now, im glad he did the whole european tour without flaking. i'm gonna go to the SF show cuz i've never seen axl EVER and AXL IS GOD!! he is the best fuckin frontman of all time! I saw VR in SF too so if i go see AXL then i've pretty much seen GNR.

I am so glad to see that Guns N Roses is back on top of today's music scene. It is absolutely wonderful that they were able to overcome whatever differences they may have had for the sake of making great music for their adoring fans. I will be sure to be in the audience when the next time they come to South Dakota.

"Wah Wah it's never going to come out" - what are you, six years old and you believe in some grand conspiracy theory? You can bash Axl for being a dick, 'cause he is one, but some of you seriously don't have two brain cells to rub together. Now that Axl has finished a successful european tour, is sounding good, and the band seems to really be geling, the US should be ripe for the picking given the lack of good rock music these days.
