GIGANTOUR Schedule Updated - Aug. 21, 2006

Several new stops have been added to the second annual Gigantour, according to LiveDaily.com.

Originally due to launch Sept. 7 in San Diego, the trek will now get underway Sept. 6 in Boise, ID, and won't hit San Diego until Sept. 9; as a result, the previously announced Sept. 9 show in San Luis Obispo, CA is no longer on the schedule. Meanwhile, new stops have been added in Oklahoma City, OK; Boston; and Atlantic City, NJ.

Second-stage acts INTO ETERNITY, SANCTITY and THE SMASHUP won't be on board for the Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Boston stops, and those three bands, as well as OVERKILL, won't play the Las Vegas show, which is now confirmed to take place at the House of Blues.

Gigantour 2006 features main-stage acts MEGADETH, LAMB OF GOD, OPETH and ARCH ENEMY. The dates are as follows:

Sep. 08 - Oakland, CA - Oakland Coliseum
Sep. 09 - San Diego, CA - Cox Arena
Sep. 10 - Devore, CA - Hyundai Pavilion
Sep. 12 - Las Vegas, NV - House of Blues
Sep. 13 - Phoenix, AZ - Dodge Theater
Sep. 15 - West Valley City, UT - USANA Amphitheater
Sep. 16 - Englewood, CO - Coors Amphitheatre
Sep. 17 - Albuquerque, NM - Journal Pavilion
Sep. 19 - Oklahoma City, OK - Zoo Amphitheatre
Sep. 21 - Milwaukee, WI - Eagles Ballroom
Sep. 22 - Chicago, IL - Congress Theater
Sep. 23 - Columbus, OH - Nationwide Arena
Sep. 24 - Clarkston, MI - DTE Energy Music Theatre
Sep. 25 - Toronto, Ontario - Molson Amphitheatre

	You skipped over Minnesota last year, and now you skip em over this year TOO! WHY? There was plenty of demand for Dragonforce, Unholy Alliance, and Sounds of the Underground! 	Not having all the bands at major city like boston, and skipping some cities over, as well as some odd venue selections. I'm no rock'n'roll promoter but I go see shows. This tour should be trying to play 5,000 person venues, have all the bands, and make the tickets (and merch) cheap.

	To anyone who may bash Dave Mustaine because the tour is not coming to your city, guess what? HE HAS NO CONTROL OVER THE TOUR DATES AND STOPS!!!!!!!! So instead of bitching and crying about the tour not playing your city, why don't you ask mommy and daddy for the money to promote the show and call the booking agent that is handling this tour and bring the tour to your city. Then, watch it flop and lose thousands of dollars, which is likely why it wasn't coming to your town anyway....simply put, because the demand isn't there.

	Cities get skipped, they play at small venues, etc etc. Thats what happens when you fail to support the tours. Poor ticket sales = Less shows But I am happy, they are coming to Aus, and I will be there in Sydney to see them :)
