Ex-BLACK SABBATH Singer DAVID DONATO Auctioning 1985 Harley Davidson - Aug. 22, 2006

A 1985 Harley-Davidson motorcycle belonging to former BLACK SABBATH singer David Donato is currently being auctioned via eBay. The auction ends on August 27 at 8:15 p.m. EST.

According to Wikipedia, Donato recorded several demos with BLACK SABBATH and rehearsed throughout 1984 and 1985.

Contrary to reports, Donato was not fired after an interview with Kerrang! magazine. The band fell apart soon thereafter, with Tony Iommi forming an entirely new BLACK SABBATH the following year.

The Donato demos still remain out of the public domain, with the exception of a 1985 rehearsal session featuring Donato, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward which surfaced online in 2006. This session was produced by Bob Ezrin.

After BLACK SABBATH, Donato was in the band WHITE TIGER with former KISS guitarist Mark St. John.

	I didn't know that, thanks for the info. Tony Martin I believe did 3 of 4 albums with Sabbath; Eternal Idol I thought was by far the best. That first Badlands album was really good; the second wasn't bad either. Too bad Ray died.

	i remember back in 84 when sabbath hired him. there was a big spread in kerrang with photos and all. then a few weeks later in 1984 the headline said DONOTO DUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and iommi confirmed it. i dont understand how a guy who rehersed with sabbath for a month or so in 1984 gets a heading saying former sabbath vocalist. shit ron keel even tried out during that period as well as neil turbin and a lot of others...........

	A while ago some of Donatos demos with Sabbath surfaced. Among others it were a song with the chorus that later turned out to be "The Shining". As I remember it sounded ok. I used to love the White Tiger album although Dave didn´t sing very well and the production was horrible. Got in on LP but sure would like it on CD but I´m not sure if I´ve ever seen it

You're right about that - Except being an ex-Singer for Sabbath won't necessarily leave you with hepatitis... Unless you did a recent sex video with Pamela.
