According to
Wikipedia,
Donato recorded several demos with
BLACK SABBATH and rehearsed throughout 1984 and 1985.
Contrary to reports,
Donato was not fired after an interview with
Kerrang! magazine. The band fell apart soon thereafter, with
Tony Iommi forming an entirely new
BLACK SABBATH the following year.
The
Donato demos still remain out of the public domain, with the exception of a 1985 rehearsal session featuring
Donato,
Tony Iommi,
Geezer Butler, and
Bill Ward which surfaced online in 2006. This session was produced by
Bob Ezrin.
After
BLACK SABBATH,
Donato was in the band
WHITE TIGER with former
KISS guitarist
Mark St. John.
