EVANESCENCE Singer Not Hiding The Story Behind 'Sober'

Launch Radio Networks reports: The story behind EVANESCENCE's new single, "Call Me When You're Sober", became a little clearer when singer Amy Lee's former boyfriend, SEETHER frontman Shaun Morgan, checked himself into rehab last month. But Lee herself said that she's not worried about listeners knowing exactly what inspired the song. "'Call Me When You're Sober' says something that's impossible to hide from," she said. "I'm stuck with everyone knowing exactly what I'm talking about. And if there's consequences for that, which there are, then I have to face them. But it's true, and it really happened, and it meant so much to me and felt so good to just blurt it out that it was worth it. And I think it's a really great song and I'm really proud of it."
Morgan entered a rehab facility in late July for unspecified substance abuse issues. He came out on Monday (August 28), according to the group's publicist.
EVANESCENCE's new album, "The Open Door", arrives on October 3. The disc follows the band's 2003 major label debut, "Fallen", which has sold more than six million copies in the U.S.
The group recently recruited RENDITION SMILE bassist Tim McCord to replace Will Boyd, who left earlier this summer because he no longer wished to tour for lengthy amounts of time.
EVANESCENCE will hit the road for a 17-date tour beginning on October 5 in Toronto, with a larger-scale trek expected to follow in the months ahead.

And not in the ass or anything. A couple of years ago this is the same chick that gets off on ripping on Scooter from Cold for his drug addiction to make headlines and now she's stooping low enough to make money off of slamming yet another musician more talented then her. I really hope Seether writes a new single when Shaun gets out of rehab that says "Call me when you're not a fucking cuntbag anymore"

Storm Large from Supernova really blew her performance of Evanescence's BRING ME TO LIFE yesterday. Like, not everybody's got that kind of voice range.
Same with Tarja from Nightwish...

Gosh, I just knew that she would get bashed in here. l!!! She is very talented and when they perform live she gives 100%! Anybody that says she dont have talent is very ignorant. You maybe do not like that kind of music but they are a very unique band. I just wish they would not allow you little teeny bobbers in here to post such hatefull crap. She is horrible live.
I saw the DVD of the Toronto show (w/ Seether, Breaking Benjamin, and 3 Days Grace).
She is not that talented or unique. The guitarist wrote most of the songs. She just wrote her first song now for "Sober".
Storm on Supernova did the vocals to "Bring me back to Life" better than Amy can do them on recording!
