GUNS N' ROSES' Manager Leaving SANCTUARY?

According to Hits Daily Double, word inside the Sanctuary Music Group is that Merck Mercuriadis will be leaving the company's management team. GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose is said to be leaving with Merck as a client of the longtime Sanctuary executive.
Rose has been saying that GUNS N' ROSES' long-delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy", will be out later this year.
GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold almost 13,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending September 3), bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.15 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

I have heard they are now on Interscope and things look very promising for a release very late this year. Bet ya its the last Tuesday of the year.
But whatever, there is no way this is going to live up to 10+ years of hype. Had it released 5 years ago, it would have been an amazing record, releasing it this late only sets it up for disappointment and failure. I mean, this would have to be an absolute revolutionary record in the style of the White Album or Dark Side of the Moon to even come close to justifying the wait. But whatever, I'll still gladly buy it. Just need to turn all of expectations down a bit or a lot depending our your POV.

also, waiting anxiously for a new GNR album is about as pointless and hopeless as hoping for a Chicago Cubs World Series championship. just saying that for the record.

When OH MY GOD came out I was curious. But after 2002 I gave up waiting. If it comes out tomorrow - fine. If it don't - fine. There's enough other music out there. I'm going to buy the new MOTÖRHEAD next week \m/

This iteration of GN'R have been playing for probably over six years now. They've played in front of hundreds of thousands of fans. The total could be over 1 million. That's not a band? Ok.

Okay, GNR are really good, axl is a great writer, who fucken cares what he does media wise. I think it's about the music, not his hair, or if hes had botox. The point is, he is trying his best to not be a dickhead, and to write the best rock n' roll album he can possibly make. He wants to please us, he wants to give us something enjoyable to listen to, which he doesn't have to do. So thank him.

GN'R is a great band and has introduced amazing music to this world, for that I'm greatfull but I am a little bit tired of waiting for Chinese Democracy to come out. So as much as I would love to see a GN'R concert as soon as possible I would rather have the tour be put to the side until the album is out. Fans I know that you are tired of listening to the same GN'R songs over and over still waiting for a new album but don't loose hope.
Chinese democracy will be here.
