KILLING JOKE Reunite, Commence Work On 'Most Violent' Opus To Date - Sep. 3, 2002
The reunited KILLING JOKE — featuring vocalist Jaz Coleman, guitarist Geordie, bassist Paul Raven (ex-PRONG), and drummer Ted Parsons (ex-GODFLESH/PRONG) — are reportedly tracking their new album in London and Los Angeles with producer Andy Gill for an early 2003 release. According to sources, the forthcoming CD will be the group's "most violent" opus to date. More information will be made available shortly.

They are pretty old now but they could still have it in them. I wasn't a huge fan of their 80's stuff but pandemonium was killer. Maybe if they expand on that type of sound.

Killing Joke rule! This should be pretty great, I saw them on the Pandemonium tour and it is still one of the best shows I've ever seen!

Glad to see Ted Parsons in the KJ line up. He is a machine !!! Can't think of anyone else really to fit the drumming spot!! With a track record of Swans ,Prong and Godflesh it's a logical fit! Can't wait for the fire dances to beggin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on, bring him back. He was the one who kept Coleman in check. If he hadn't left I don't they would have ever made a new-wave album.

Extremities was just more posturing by Killing Joke. They tried being new-wave and it wasn't cool anymore, so they jumped another bandwagon. At least with their first three albums, they were really 'themselves.'

Fuck Danny from Tool. Slipnots drummer ?Ha ha ha ha that is a Joke and so unmixed matched. Killing Joke don't need noodleing prog drumming in odd time signitures from ome ggguy who's hot to sell records.Danny should staya in Tool and play his crap.Big Paul is the only man for the job .A second best would be Ted Parsons. Extremities new Wave?what planet are you on?

I read a post on a KJ board from Raven boasting that a new KJ tour would feature nothing from "Pandemonium" or "Democracy" and that the new album would be in the vein of "Extremities," a very subpar album to my ears. Bring Youth back and keep KJ on course -- third-rate industrial metal is not what KJ does best. "Democracy" was the best KJ album since "What's This For..." Since when does a hack like Raven call the shots, anyway?

There seems to be a great divide between the youth camp and the raven fans.
Whichever one is really back in the band its going to dissapoint a lot of people either way.
Personally i reckon Raven is awesome and Extremities is one of the best albums.
Lets hope they can pull it off

Who cares which personnel are on the album so long as it kicks ass?
I'll take this album on its own merits when it comes out, not prejudge it on the basis that I don't like the drummer or bassist or some other work they've done.
Raven and Youth have both done shit hot work with Joke.
