GUNS N' ROSES: More U.S., Canadian Dates Announced - Sep. 25, 2006

GUNS N' ROSES has added three more U.S. dates and one new Canadian date to its itinerary. Tickets for the Canadian dates will go on sale September 29 while tickets for the new U.S. dates will go on sale September 30. The band's schedule is now shaping up as follows:

Oct. 05 - San Diego, CA - iPayOne Center
Oct. 20 - Jacksonville, FL - Veterans Memorial Arena
Oct. 24 - Sunrise, FL - Bank Atlantic Center
Oct. 25 - Tampa, FL - St. Pete Times Forum
Oct. 27 - Estero, FL - Germain Arena
Oct. 31 - Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Coliseum
Nov. 03 - Huntington, WV - Big Sandy Superstore Arena
Nov. 08 - Worcester, MA - DCU Center
Nov. 13 - Baltimore, MD - 1st Mariner Arena
Nov. 15 - Toronto, ON - Air Canada Centre
Nov. 17 - Ottawa, ON - Scotiabank Place
Nov. 20 - Halifax, NS - Halifax Metro Center
Nov. 24 - Cleveland, OH - Quicken Loans Arena
Dec. 10 - Everett, WA - Everett Events Center
Dec. 11 - Portland, OR - The Rose Garden Arena
Dec. 13 - Fresno, CA - Save Mart Center
Jan. 10 - Sacramento, CA - ARCO Arena
Jan. 11 - Bakersfield, CA - Rabobank Arena
Jan. 13 - Reno, NV - Reno Events Center

GUNS N' ROSES last week postponed the U.S. dates that were to take place between September 27 and October 5. The dates have been moved to fit into the main body of the tour, which starts on October 20 in Jacksonville, FL at the Veterans Memorial Arena.

GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose has been saying that the band's long-delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy", will be out later this year.

GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold 11,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending September 17), bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.17 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

	I've been waiting a super long time for the new gunners to finally pay a trip to Canada. But Ottawa? Man, someone's smiling down on me today. No one comes to Ottawa, I'm shocked and stoked like a fire to say the least. To those of you who slag the new guns off just because its not the old line up I've got to wonder who you're trying to impress. I've never been unaware of GNR's line up changes...shrug. Its not enough to deter me, I dig the new stuff with the new guys.

	What is it, the whole Appetite for Destruction album with one song off of each Illusions albums? For all those getting too excitedl: remember they haven't put out a strong album since Appetite. They've had some good songs, but the Illusions albums should have been combined into one somewhat solid album. Get rid of some of the obvious filler. I'm still excited to hear Chinese Democracy though.
