Bieler Bros. recording artists
NONPOINT will perform their version of the
PHIL COLLINS classic
"In the Air Tonight" at the sold-out
Florida Panthers vs.
Boston Bruins hockey game on Friday, October 6 (approx. 7:00 p.m.) at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida. The track appeared in the recent film version of
"Miami Vice" and was the first single from its soundtrack.
NONPOINT's version of
"In the Air Tonight" will serve as the
Panthers' theme song throughout the season.
NONPOINT's video for its cover of
PHIL COLLINS'
"In the Air Tonight" can be viewed at
this location. The video features clips from the
"Miami Vice" movie as well as performance footage shot in Miami, Florida with director
Darren Doane.
"In the Air Tonight" originally appeared on
NONPOINT's 2004 release
"Recoil" before being featured in the film and soundtrack for
Michael Mann's
"Miami Vice". The movie opened up at No. 1, knocking the highest grossing film of the year,
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", out of the top spot.
As previously reported, a live version of
NONPOINT's
"Broken Bones" has been posted online at
this location. The track is set to appear on the South Florida band's new live CD/DVD, entitled
"Live and Kicking", which is scheduled for release on November 7 through
Bieler Bros. The CD will feature thirteen live tracks from the band's homecoming show at Revolution in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The bonus DVD will also feature the concert in its entirety, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and special bonus features.
