GUNS N' ROSES: Jacksonville, Nashville Dates Postponed - Oct. 14, 2006
GUNS N' ROSES has postponed the first two shows of its fall U.S. tour. The Jacksonville, FL concert, which was originally supposed to take place October 20, is now scheduled for October 31, and the Nashville, TN show — previously slated for October 22 — will take place in January 2007 (date to be announced).

For a list of upcoming GUNS N' ROSES tour dates, visit the GNR fan site Here Today… Gone To Hell!

GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose has been saying that the band's long-delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy", will be out later this year.

GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold 12,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending October 8), bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.2 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Only about a dozen Tuesdays until the end of the year. Time's running out, Axl.

No surprise with cancels on a tribute GNR tour. Who can really be interested in a "tibute" tour with a frontman whose life is and has always been out of control.
As far as Chinese Democracy, Rose has been promising this for years... It's not going to happen.

And people talk about KISS? Hey, at least KISS have their heads on straight... give fans (Not an album), but besides merchandise, live dvds and cds. Whatever the case at least there is some sort of music for fans to sink their teeth into if they choose.
Axl should just hang it up... His antics are old, tired and he's just not interesting anymore.

I'd go see the new GN'R, as I like all the new tunes they've played so far.

However last weekend I watched Rock In Rio 2001, and then Live In Paris from 1992...and there's no replacing Slash, Duff, and Matt Sorum. Gilby just kinda didn't seem to fit in, but the other three were on fire.

No thanks, can't STAND that band. They have none of (the old) GN'R's fire or songwriting ability, and a terrible lead vocalist to boot. They got three of the main guys, but as it turns out, three of the main guys couldn't make a decent record.

For my money, we will never hear the studio version of Chinese Democracy. Certainly we won't hear it before Christmas, the release schedules are rapidly filling up.

I think the only way we'll ever hear the studio version of these songs is if the record label steps up and sues Axl for the master tapes.

I make plans to drive 4 hours from Atlanta to go see the Axl Rose Band and he cancels (postponing 3+ months is as good as canceling) He had done so well all summer... I thought it might actually work out this time.

Like the dude above said... unless he's moving the dates around to work on releasing the album... the album will never come out. As soon as he starts freaking out and pulling this shit it will just start snowballing until the entire tour is over... and then he'll go back into hiding for another 1/2 decade.

He has wasted so many years. I remember over 20 years ago seeing GNR on stage at the LIVING ROOM in Providence, RI. To this day and 100's of shows later from dozens of bands and I still remember how good that show was then. The Living Room still stands albeit in a different location and with its owner just recently passing ( May he rest in peace.). Yet, the real GNR is no longer. Sure this pseudo band of sorts is touring and raking in bucks...but let's be honest folks...It ain't the real thing.

I saw this new show a few years ago in Boston...Waited 2hrs between sets...after some rapper....and was really not impressed. Sorry but as a consumer that show did not warrant a repeat performance. BUT THE SMOKE IN THE AIR SURE BROUGHT BACK GREAT MEMORIES.

Axel has a unique and truly blessed voice...yet he has wasted so many years. Just think of all the great music that COULD HAVE BEEN. I have good reason to doubt this new CD AS WE ALL DO...but then again the The Red Sox did win the World Series.

But to say Slash owns Axl is insane!!! Nothing Axl has done has failed (YET). Slash has been in so many failed projects it's not even funny. VR is good...but they don't have a drop of the magic GnR had.

On top of that, Slash lost A LOT of my respect when I saw him the other day peddling VW's. I mean...that's rock n roll? I saw Alice Cooper doing a spot for Longhorn steakhouse...again...how is this rock n roll?

As for the tard that says Axl's is out of control and always has been...HEY FUCKTARD....that's what we want and need in our artists. That's what gives them their edge, their stories, their emotion.

Just look at Metallica...they are all trying to fix each other...and now they are all gay!

Lets face it G'n'R (as you all like to say) haven't done anything in ten yrs and yet they get more attension then VR. think about it, and VR should by all means be better then G'n'R because they have 3 original members and G'n'R only has one. But they're not. Therefor i laugh when people say VR are better then G'n'R. because its not true. Dude, I still find the Guns very interesting. Yes, KISS has been good to their fans over the years but their music has slipped. Just ask the Star Child in one of his most recent interviews.

THe greatest difference between Kiss & Guns is that Guns is not Kiss. And the Guns new music (post Slash) is very fresh and kick ass even if some of the supposed tracks have been tooled with over the past decade. At least they rock. \\m//

Better
There Was A Time
The Blues
Silkworm
I.R.S.
Chinese Democracy
Catcher in the Rye
Madatnascar

The Guns currently have the attention of everyone in the music industry. If they choose to not drop a new album this year, big fucking deal. Somebody else cry me river please...This is Guns N Roses - Axl Rose if you will - and Robin Finck/Richard Fortus kick ass. I'd pay top dollar to see this band live and I just might get that chance here soon. fingers crossed X

word of advice to the Guns:

Don't give'em shit until they (the Major Media Outlets) show you some big love. And when they do take the benjamins and don't forget to tell'em that they can all just "Fuck Off!"

And keep rock'n & roll'n the live shows...hell, the Stones, Kiss, Journey, and on and on and on have been rock'n it out for decades now. Good Heath and a little luck with standing, G&R is in good shape for a long productive run.

bla bla bla bla bla....out.

You guys know that nobody has confirmed NOV.21 as the release date, right?

Until the record company starts taking orders for Nov. 21, it ain't official. And time is fast running out. It's the Christmas season now, in full swing, many of the big Christmas releases are ALREADY out. The ones that are not have official release dates, some of which are in December (such as the Metallica DVD).

Now, my question to you is:

Do you really think that a big, big record company like Universal will want to release a new album (the most expensive ever recorded, in fact) this Christmas without sufficient lead-up time? To get singles out to radio, videos out to TV, ads out to the papers, so they could at least put an effort into recouping their costs?

Ain't gonna happen at ALL this year if it does not happen soon. In a couple weeks it really will be too late to announce a 2006 release date.

Sorry man, it is far from fact. At this point, Nov 21 is nothing but pure fantasy and will remain so until official announcement is made. More than likely, that date will pass without a new GNR album, and then what will you say?
