KORPIKLAANI Begins Recording New Album
- Nov. 24, 2006
Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI have entered Fantom Studios in Tampere, Finland with producer Samu Oittinen to begin recording their fourth album, "Tervaskanto", tentatively due in April 2007. 11 songs are reportedly being recorded for the follow-up to "Tales along this Road", which was released in April via Napalm Records.
Formed by Jonne Järvelä (vocals, guitar), KORPIKLAANI ("Woodland Clan" in Finnish) released two albums under its previous moniker, SHAMAN. In contrast to SHAMAN, which recorded songs in the original Sami language, KORPIKLAANI's material is writen mostly in English, but also in Finnish.
