Turn In A Gun, Get Tickets To GUNS N' ROSES Concert

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland city officials will reward anyone who turns in a gun this Saturday in Sobrante Park and next week in DeFremery Park with two tickets to the Dec. 15 concert by GUNS N' ROSES at Oracle Arena. " GUNS N' ROSES — the band?" asked Mike Magardo, a 34-year-old Oakland resident. "I think that's a little off the mark. In general, the folks who would show up for a gun exchange in those neighborhoods either don't know or care who GUNS N' ROSES are." "Why would any youngsters want to go see GUNS N' ROSES," Andrew Smith, 32, asked. Mark Lipsett, a 45-year-old banker, said, "That seems crazy to me. How about Raiders tickets, Warriors tickets, a pizza coupon, just about anything," he said. Etah Allah, 31, who grew up in West Oakland, summed it up nicely. "I wouldn't give them a sling shot," he said. "In fact, given some of the things that ( Axl) Rose has said about black folks, I think I should get a gun for just going to the concert," he said, bringing a laugh from his friends. Joe DeVries, who runs Oakland's violence-prevention program with tax funds from voter-approved Measure Y, says the GUNS N' ROSES promotion is admittedly not a great match. But he hopes it's the start of a program that will expand to include acts that speak to younger black audiences. "I recognize that GUNS N' ROSES isn't a band that a lot of Oakland kids listen to, but there are so many stolen guns used in crimes in this city we'll take any guns we can get," he said. So how many people are going to start stealing guns to get tickets to events? And if a person were to steal a gun, why not steal two? Then you could get tickets to the show and a gun to keep for yourself.

A.F.D. was the only GNR album worth a damn, it's arguably one of the most influential, landmark hard rock releases of the last 30 years, and YOU don't like it?? How is that even possible??

Just really overly tired of it... like I am:

I can't stand hearing any other their songs^^^^
I just like so much other stuff and even Axl said "I just wanna bury Appetite"!
It is a great album but-
it's been 10 years since i've listened to the whole thing from start to end,
and I don't even own it on Cd,
and I wish Axl had to balls to just play a few songs from A.F.D. and not like 10 from that album!
I would much rather hear more new songs than those old ones!
I love me some U.Y.I. 1 though ;-)
A.F.D. is a tad bit overrated,
*People stay dead stuck on that album and to me Motley Crue "Shout at the Devil" was just as good!!!!

The preceding post made no sense. I can't stand Axl, but only a moron would think people would choose Axl over O.J. It's all just Blabbermouoth shit talk.
But, If I WAS O.J., not that I plan on doing it I would slowly skin him alive and then roll him in salt. Then I would set him out on beach in the sun for a few hours. After that I would give him a dunking in a pool of hot isopropyl alcohol, then at last I would lay him across a fire ant mound.
