EAGLES OF DEATH METAL leader Jesse "The Devil" Hughes was interviewed by Buddyhead about his band's getting thrown off GUNS N' ROSES' U.S. tour after only one show. Watch the video interview at iFilm.com. According to Metal Sludge, there are some of the "highlights" from the chat: "We had just come off a tour with Joan Jett, which is badass. She represents everything that rock n' roll stands for to me, and Axl Rose doesn't, you know?!" "If it's about firing the best aspects of your band, so they go and make a better band and call it VELVET REVOLVER, then fuck you." " Sebastian Bach was a savage animal. It was more like 45 and on parole, then 18 and life." "First he was Axl, then Paxil, then Waxil. I knew he ( Axl) was crazy." "Dude, the world does not rise and fall at the whims of Axl Rose." "I kinda heard through the grapevine that his ( Axl's) vicious, obsessive hatred of Dave Grohl, and because we're friends, that ah, that's what led to this possibly." "Being dissapproved of by Axl Rose is like winning a fucking award." " Dave Grohl is my friend and I don't give a fuck who doesn't like him." "I wouldn't put anything past the white Michael Jackson. I mean, really, he ( Axl) is the Caucasian Michael Jackson." "He ( Axl) had on these weird tight blue pants, that came up and his belly arched out, and his shirt was tailored tight in the arms so it looked like he looked slender, but tailored to go up over his belly. Actually, it was a sight to see, man. It was bizzaire — oh man, really ironic." "This was our omen that is was gonna be a weird tour. We're on the plane and the first thing he ( Sebastian Bach) says to us: 'Dude, this tour is gonna be badass. Axl is singing better than ever.' I think EODM are making a HUGE mistake milking this bad press stuff every damn day now. Let others do the talking but DON'T get involved personally. This is starting to look really pathetic for this Jesse The Devil guy. And I met Jesse once and the guy didn't even shake my hand or look at me, and no one else was around??? I was being introduced by his own guitar player Dave Catching who I've met numerous times??? maybe he's buying into his own hype and ego....and now he's bringing Dave Grohl into it...weird is all I have to say. Good band but this is silly.

Kurt Kobain didn't ignore Axl. If he would have ignored him there wouldn't have been a feud to begin with. Kurt Kobain is the one that went to the press talking shit about GNR. It wasn't just Axl he talked shit about , it was the entire GNR band. He said they were the "most talentless band in the world " and that they had never written a decent song. This guy was one of the biggest hypocrites in rock, he always talked about hating the fame but would always call and complain to MTV when his videos were not being played enough.
