A classic video clip of
KISS bassist/vocalist
Gene Simmons apparently "scolding" his bandmate
Paul Stanley for "cutting [him] down in front of the camera" during an interview recorded before the taping of
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve '94" in December 1993 has been posted online at
YouTube.com. While
Stanley is busy answering a question posed by the interviewer (who is off camera),
Simmons can be seen raising his hand before asking the cameraman to "hold on a second" and to turn the microphone off. He then proceeds to ask
Stanley to "stop cutting me down in front of the camera," before adding, "I don't go for that shit." After being approached by the interviewer to see what the problem is,
Gene replies, "I don't know. Whatever I say, all of a sudden, [
Paul is like] 'Don't listen to this idiot.'" He then turns to
Stanley and says, "Don't do that anymore." Meanwhile,
Stanley can be seen pouting in silence before instructing the interviewer to "Go on."
