SLAYER: Tickets To 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Performance Sold Out In Four Hours
- Jan. 16, 2007

|
|
According to a press release from mPRm Public Relations, tickets for SLAYER's January 19 appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" sold out in about four hours, matching the performance of such superstar acts as JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, KORN and LINKIN PARK.
SLAYER will make its first-ever network television appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" The band will play two songs on air, "Jihad" and "Mandatory Suicide", as well as three additional off-air tracks for a crowd of over 1,000 people.
As previously reported, SLAYER will embark on an Australian/New Zealand tour in April. Support at the shows will come from MASTODON.
American Recordings has pushed back the projected release date of the "Unholy Alliance" CD+DVD package to February 27 from the previously announced February 13. Filmed on July 13, 2006 at Vancouver's 18,000-seat General Motors Place, "Unholy Alliance" features performance footage from SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED. DVD bonuses include backstage footage and band interviews.
SLAYER's "Christ Illusion" album, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard chart, has sold just under 150,000 copies in the United States since its Aug. 8 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Take in to condsideration that most music from the US is 10 times worse than anything Slayer leaves swimming in the toilet of a truckstop!!!! Be happy that they are still carrying the torch for true metal!!! Be happy they didn't turn into Metallishit!

I figured they would play "Eyes of the Insane" seeing as though its up for an award....
Oh Well, Manditory Suicide & Jihad are better tracks anyways.
...now if only we could get the boys to play "Crionic's" live again...

Gnr are a joke band, with one original member. That one member is a dick, and Chinese Democracy, after about 10 years, will be shite, based on the demos. Slayer own. New gnr suck. Fuck you.

Slayer are still a great live band, but they couldn't write a good song anymore even if their lives depended on it. At least they are playing the best song of that woeful and forgettable new album of theirs. Ill be seeing them in April.

What have you ever done? Slayer has been making absolutely crushing music for over 20 years.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???? YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING.
Your empty opinion is more worthless than your musical taste.

Yep - UR right - saw that - and they went out with Raining Blood - but that got cut out - awesome though to hear the thunder and the explosions as they launched the juggernaut on TV !!- forget now exact song they played and promoted - something from Seasons In The Abyss - maybe War Ensemble or Dead Skin Mask - feel free to chime in anyone- BUT - John Stewart was the UPN or WB or some shiz. They are saying NETWORK TV - meaning the BIG ONES - at least that is how I believe the industry monsters have to refer to it. Doesn't count as NETWORK unless - it is ABC-CBS-NBC-FOX - ya know?

Ignorance is bliss for all doubters. It is rather difficult to acquire tickets to network shows... it's not your average Ticketmaster process.
Slayer + Ontario = roadtrip!
