SILVERCHAIR: Los Angeles Date Announced - Jan. 18, 2007
Australia's SILVERCHAIR has announced a Los Angeles show on Tuesday, February 20 at the El Rey Theater. Tickets for this show go on sale on Saturday, January 20.

Due to the massive demand for tickets to their first New York show at the Bowery Ballroom on February 12, SILVERCHAIR has added a second show in New York City. The band will play Webster Hall on Tuesday, February 13.

As previously reported, SILVERCHAIR has been confirmed to perform at "G'Day Toronto", a four-day extravaganza in Toronto celebrating the relationship between Australia and Canada. The band will perform on the Australian music night on February 15.

SILVERCHAIR's highly anticipated fifth album, "Young Modern", will be released later in the year.

SILVERCHAIR has sold over six million albums worldwide and enjoyed more top 40 singles in the last decade than any other Australian band. Their most recent CD — 2002's "Diorama" — was their most acclaimed and their highest seller in Australia to date. Following their sold-out "Across the Night Tour" in 2003, SILVERCHAIR took an extended break and worked on other projects before coming together again in 2005 for the Waveaid tsunami benefit concert in Sydney.

I hope they come to Chicago soon, they haven't been here since Neon Ballroom!!!! Can't wait to hear the new album. I've been a fan since the begining and its great to see how they've grown musically. Very underrated band in this country. Frogstomp is still an awesome album but there's more to them than their hit "Tomorrow"

they did move on to better music. the last couple of albums they've done sound nothing like material they released ten years ago. they've progressed quite a bit. if you're looking for heaviness you won't find it, but it's great stuff regardless.

i heard some of their more recent stuff where they had some cool riffs, awkward rythems and time signature stuff. just isnt my cup of tea i guess.

if you think meshuggah sucks you must not have a brain that functions properly. i never said their singer wasnt good. just that their music is in my opinion somewhat boring.

Silverchair is one of the best bands of the past decade. They're still together and they make good music. Diorama was just about perfect.
