Tasmanian band
PSYCROPTIC has been forced to drop off the European tour as the support act for
DEICIDE four days before the trek's completion after guitarist
Joe Haley was hospitalized due to illness following the show in Essen, Germany Friday night (January 26). "The band regrets that they have to miss the last couple of shows and they will be back in Europe to make up for this as soon as possible," the group writes in a statement. "Big 'thank you' to all in
DEICIDE,
VISCERAL BLEEDING and the whole
Massive Music crew for a tour that has been completley amazing, but in the end a little sad due to the ending circumstances; totally unforgetable nonetheless."
PSYCROPTIC's third full-length album,
"Symbols of Failure", was released in February 2006 via
Neurotic Records. The follow-up of 2003's
"The Scepter of the Ancients" marks the recording debut of the band's new vocalist
Jason Peppiatt.
PSYCROPTIC's video for the song
"Epoch of the Gods", which was filmed by
Lowlife Media at the Paris show of the
"No Mercy" tour (where
PSYCROPTIC supported
CANNIBAL CORPSE,
KATAKLYSM,
LEGION OF THE DAMNED and
GRIMFIST), can be viewed at
