Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN's acoustic performance of "Freak On A Leash", with Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE on vocals, is making its way onto the airwaves now as the band prepares for the arrival of its "MTV Unplugged" broadcast and CD. Singer Jonathan Davis told Launch how the idea of collaborating with Lee came about. "I thought it would be really cool," he said. "She has an amazing voice, and when we were thinking of artists we wanted to have on with us, guests, we wanted to do something that was really left field and we didn't want to do the typical thing. So having her come on — we knew she was a fan, we met her before and she said she was a huge KORN fan when she was growing up — so we decided to have her come on and sing with us."

One person who did not attend the December "Unplugged" taping was drummer David Silveria, who announced that he was taking a temporary hiatus from KORN. Jonathan Davis said that it was unfortunate Silveria couldn't be there. "Yeah, it was sad, we were all sad, but, you know, it is what it is," he said. "He needs a break and we missed him, but, you know, we had to do what we had to do. We're a band that keeps on, I mean, things get us down, we don't try and let them stand in the way. We try to keep on creating and doing what we love."

KORN has recruited legendary rock drummer Terry Bozzio to play on its eighth studio album, which the band is recording right now. Bozzio will also play live with the group this year, including another edition of the Family Values tour this summer.

KORN's "MTV Unplugged" CD will be released on March 6. The show will appear online on February 24 and premiere on MTV on March 2. A special February 23 premiere will take place at KORN's official web site.

In other news, Davis revealed that he and his wife Deven are expecting their second son together this April, whom they've already named Zeppelin. They have one son named Pirate, while Davis also has a son named Nathan from a previous marriage.
