P.O.D. Forms Partnership With INO And COLUMBIA RECORDS - Feb. 2, 2007
INO and Columbia Records has announced a partnership with spiritual rockers P.O.D. (a.k.a. PAYABLE ON DEATH), fresh off the heels of their New Year's Eve performance in Times Square. This event marked guitarist Marcos Curiel's first performance with P.O.D. in nearly four years.

Currently involved in pre-production, P.O.D. is scheduled to release its new project late summer 2007 with the band's original formation of Marcos, Sonny (lead vocals), Wuv (drums), and Traa (bass).

Regarding this new partnership, INO President Jeff Moseley stated, "I am thrilled to work with P.O.D. I have been a big fan of the band for a long time and think they are at a special place in their career. I anticipate a landmark record. I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the guys and their manager Tim Cook."

Following a successful relationship with Atlantic Records, P.O.D. is excited about this unique endeavor.

Commented Tim Cook of Cook Management: "Sonny, Wuv, Traa, and Marcos are back together and they're making the record of their career. I believe Jeff Moseley at INO and the Columbia Records staff will be exceptional partners as we continue this journey."

Curiel parted ways with the Christian rap-rockers in February of 2003 and later slammed the band, telling MTV.com, "With P.O.D., things were supposedly handled in the name of God, but they were actually handled in the name of greed."

He went on to form a new band called THE ACCIDENT EXPERIMENT, while P.O.D. recruited ex-LIVING SACRIFICE axeman Jason Truby to play on its last two studio albums, 2003's "Payable On Death" and 2005's "Testify". Truby exited the group once Curiel's return was made official.

"Greatest Hits: The Atlantic Years", P.O.D.'s final release through Atlantic Records, arrived in stores in November. It features the brand new track and current single, "Going In Blind".

P.O.D. will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Monday, February 5. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). POD should form a partnership with the Children's Television Workshop and take it from there....and forget anything that has to do with producing music.
