New NINE INCH NAILS Track 'Leaks' - Feb. 16, 2007
Launch Radio Networks reports: A new NINE INCH NAILS song called "My Violent Heart" has supposedly leaked onto the Internet. But according to various NINE INCH NAILS fan sites, the leak may have been intentional. The song was apparently discovered on a computer drive left in a bathroom at a venue in Lisbon, Portugal where NINE INCH NAILS just played. The drive itself reportedly contained data linking it to Iamtryingtobelieve.com, one of several web sites that tie into the main concept behind the new NINE INCH NAILS album, "Year Zero".

It's rumored that several more drives featuring the song have been found at other stops on NINE INCH NAILS' current European tour.

The web sites, which also include ChurchOfPlano.com and Bethehammer.net, present a future society in which an extremist Christian government is putting drugs into the United States' water supply to keep the populace sedated as it wages a nuclear war against the Muslim world.

NINE INCH NAILS frontman Trent Reznor said in a statement that the idea for "Year Zero" came into him in a daydream about the end of the world. He explained, "It takes place about 15 years in the future. Things are not good. If you imagine a world where greed and power continue to run their likely course, you'll have an idea of the backdrop. The world has reached the breaking point — politically, spiritually and ecologically."

Reznor also hinted that "Year Zero" would be the first of two concept albums.

"Year Zero" comes out on April 17. The first official single, "Survivalism", will arrive at radio later this month.

And don't forget the tshirt codes. I went to the first two shows of the tour in Lisbon, and bought a tshirt. I noticed some letters were missing in the back, but thought it was just a problem with the print. Turns out it's a phrase which leads to a website, lol.
NINs show in Lisbon on the 11th Feb. was totally insane, one of the best I've ever been to. Lets hope that "Year Zero" is at least as good as "With teeth". Excellent.

I've listened to both "My Violent Heart" and "Survivalism" and they are very good songs. MVH reminded me of The Downward Spiral a little bit. They're both very energetic. I'm expecting Year Zero to be much better than With Teeth.

These sound good. After With Teeth I was nervous, but one can tell that when he's passionate about an idea he makes good stuff.
