Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUCKETHEAD To Release 13 New Albums - Feb. 20, 2007
Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Buckethead will release a set of albums, entitled "In Search Of The", on February 21. While not much is known about this collection, it has been confirmed that there are a total of thirteen albums that have each been personally numbered and monogrammed by Buckethead himself.

According to musician/producer and frequent Buckethead collaborator Travis Dickerson, "This is not a regular CD. It's hand-made, hand-burned. The cover is whatever is deemed to be written on it. This is not a manufactured deal; each one is different and will be numbered and monogramed. No two of these will be the same. I have never heard of an artist doing something like this. This is as direct from the artist to the fan as I have ever heard of.

"As far as the content, I don't know, but the mystery around it is no surprise. Again, I can't speculate because I don't want to mislead anyone, I just don't know anymore. My gut sense is this is a conceptual work, a piece of art. It could contain anything."

Each CD can be purchased separately for $20, while the entire 13-volume collection is available for $200.

Very bold move. I read somewhere years ago that Buckethead has been a very prolific studio gun for years, long before G n' R. Something on the order of 160+ albums that he's played on??? Awesome talent.

And a cool hat.

This fantastic exposé will no doubt do wonders for your journalistic portfolio. ;)

^Wow, Travis Dickerson really needs to expand his musical horizons a little.

I always laugh when I hear people refer the Buckethead as, that guy that played with Guns N Roses. I understand that tons of people do not know about him, but once you do learn, you will all see how much catalouge he has and how amazing he is.

Buckethead is a guitar master...a god if you will. He can play just about any style. People should pick up his DVD and check out the his insane ability and wacky styles.

where every cover and cd looks differently as it is hand crafted/disigned are certainly nothing he has started - actually it is quite common in experimental music genres... for like 20 years or more ;)

... and here my interest in this topic ends :)

i'm just waiting for the Mike Patton, Buckethead, Les Claypool project, you know it has to happen, all three do crazy live shit with each other, but never all three at the same time (that i know of). they should make an album. Then they should get an old drummer from The Cult, that would rule.

How can someone claim to be a fan of Mike Patton, say that he would never work with Buckethead?

And how can someone who claims to be a fan of Buckethead claim he would never work with Patton.

I think the tour was called the Moonraker tour... may be mistaken. It's stupid... Getting so indignant and pissed off, when you clearly know nothing.

Both are amazing artists, both doing something different... Peeping Tom wasn't so spectacular though, General Patton Vs. The Executioners was far superior

Well, it wasn't actually a tour. It was just a show or two. But yes..they did play under the name Moonraker.
I agree with your comment! 100%
I can't believe the ammount of uneducated bashing that goes on at this site.

GnR will never have a guitarist as good as Buckethead, although they don't need it. They're stuff is far too simple for Buckethead.

Man....Buckethead>Slash

he may not be as well known or as popular, but his skills are out of this world (matter-a-fact so is his persona). I've read his "story" on bucketheadland.com a few times, i yearn for the truth, but hey the mystery is what makes the man, actually it's his killer playing styles. KFC a gimick no chance in hell, as he obviously knows that with his skills that he has no need for one.

Yes he played with Les Claypool (The Ballad of Buckethead) a long shot from being near one of his greatest tracks but still a good one...

I can more & better tracks on any buckethead album then GnR as far as i know decides a few tracks on most of their albums all the got is appetite.

Death&Stuff over and out...far out
