ADEMA Signs With IMMORTAL RECORDS - Feb. 20, 2007
According to the band's official MySpace page, ADEMA has signed a deal with Immortal Records for the release of the band's fourth album, tentatively due later in the year. Audio samples of three new demo tracks — "Human Nature", "Out Alive" and "Los Angeles" — can be heard at this location.

ADEMA last year announced the addition of vocalist Bobby Reeves of the Los Angeles-based band LEVEL to the group's ranks. Reeves joined ADEMA as the replacement for Luke Caraccioli, who left the band in October 2005 — only six months after the release of their first album ("Planets") without the contributions of singer Marky Chavez (half-brother of KORN's Jonathan Davis).

ADEMA 2007 is:

Bobby Reeves - Vocals
Tim Fluckey - Guitars
Ed Faris - Guitars
Dave DeRoo - Bass
Kris Kohls - Drums

As previously reported, the ADEMA track "Giving In", from the band's self-titled 2001 debut, is being featured for the next eight months in an advertising campaign from AT&T / Cingular Wireless. According to the band, the commercial "features the intro of the song, with a squadron of fighter jets soaring off in the distance (with the jet streams ending up as 'bars' of wireless signal...!)"

They did release an album on Earache, "Planets". Don't bother. Shit album. Sounds NOTHING like Adema. However, I am liking the new songs a lot better, and I'll definately buy the new album.

I like the original myspace page better. Even without music, it still rocked more than adema ever has.

How come so many good bands can't stay together yet this band won't go away? Singer #3 in as many albums? Let's end this madness.

NU-METAL SUCKS! what more would you think of this band? Not even comparable to Incubus.

Incubus is still on Immortal/Epic.

I never had a problem with the band Adema. They were nice guys. Their music, however, eh not so much.

New vocalist sounds like he is tryin to immitate their first.

It is bog standard nu metal - they need to ask themselves if they are cut out for it all - they failed on a new metal label (Arista) when it was big, failed tryin to be something else on earache and I am betting they will enjoy a short lived comeback.

COMMENT | I'll give this a chance.

But yeah Planets wasn't even like the same band. Didn't mind it completely, it was more rock oriented but if there going to keep on doing that styl, im thinking they should just change the band name.

I'm glad they're getting another chance, I'm really liking the stuff with Bobby (alot closer to their older stuff). Planets was very different, but I still like a few of the songs. It wasn't Adema, but it wasn't that bad. Also, Arista was FAR from a "nu-metal" label, they were mostly R&B/hip hop type stuff. I'm hoping Immortal does good things for them, they could be very popular again going in the direction they seem to be judging by their new samples.

Hey Guys,

No offense, before you start cutting up some of these bands .. at least be intelligent about your comments. For start, Immortal Records is an indie label based out of California. Immortal Records had full distribution & artist development with Epic Records back in 2000 when KoRn, No One, and Incubus started to make a name for themselves. When Sw1tched was added on to the roster in 2001, they were combined with Virgin Records (Immortal/Virgin Records). The label currently stands by itself and is focusing on upcoming pop punk bands. The Adema signing will only prove to a Rock/Alternative scene coming back. The deal wit Arista Records goes like this .. It was a Rock/R&B label headed up by Clive Davis who started many careers for many famous people today. Now Arista is known as "J Records & Arista" because a merger. Arista closed its doors on artists .. leaving Adema homeless .. they were not dropped. Please be informed before posting false information.

Thanks

^I agree. Also, before as said "cutting up these bands", go out and sell a gold record, get worldwide distribution for your CDs, tour around the world, then get signed with a known record label. They may not be quite as huge as some artists out there, but people who sit at their comp and make stupid comments have no room to talk. Has your band ever sold a gold record, been on Ozzfest or any major tour, signed to Immortal Records? Think before you post, because chances are, the ones you mock are a hell of alot better off then you(and I) are.
