TOOL Postpones North American Tour

TOOL has been forced to reschedule its previously announced North American tour "due to an injury in the band," according to a press release issued by the group earlier today (Wednesday, February 21). "Over the weekend, drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep. Danny underwent surgery today and is recovering well. Rescheduled tour dates will be announced shortly."
TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor recently told Launch that fans who missed the 2006 dates will get a second chance to see a similar show on the upcoming trek. "Actually, we're kind of playing places that we didn't play last year, so I don't think, it won't be, like, completely different songs, you know," he said. "It won't be a completely different thing, but it will be slightly more evolved. I mean, it naturally evolves as we go through time, you know."
TOOL intends to record some dates on its next North American tour for a live CD and DVD.
The stage production on the next TOOL tour will be "more intense" than the band's last trip, with computer animation and props possibly being included.
The band is supporting its fourth album, "10,000 Days", which has sold 1.4 million copies since arriving last May. The CD's next single is "Jambi".

Last year they were probably the best live act I had ever seen. Whenever they reschedule these dates, if they go to Denver or Phoenix, I'll be there.

ok Tool's awesome but screw this band when it comes to playing live. Because of their popularity, it's like impossible to see them play live and I could care less about them touring now.

Their music is boring as shit. Maynard should focus more on singing in key instead of sticking his foot in his mouth, and their guitarist should learn how to write a second riff.

back in 1989 when Forbidden supported Sacred Reich in the states, Paul had a broken hand and played almost a month of dates with just one hand. He moved his ride cymbol over to the left side of his kit, (because it was his right hand that was broken) and somehow managed to be able to play all the songs on the Forbidden Evil cd (except March into Fire- for obvious reasons). How do I know? Because I was his tech.
Hopefully Danny Carey recovers fast and has not sustained any permanent damage cause he is one of my drum gods and the mofo shreds!!!!
