GUNS N' ROSES: 'Chinese Democracy' To Arrive In September?

The web site of HMV, the leading music retailer in the United Kingdom, is listing the release date for the eternally delayed new GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy", as September 17. No official release date has yet been announced for the CD. Longtime GUNS N' ROSES associate Del James has revealed in a new online posting that "Chinese Democracy" is currently in the "mixing" stage. "Chinese Democracy" is the first GUNS N' ROSES album since the 1993 covers collection "The Spaghetti Incident". In the ensuing decade, the group has lost every original member besides singer Axl Rose and burned through a reported $13 million in recording expenses. GUNS N' ROSES will headline South Africa's My Coke Festival in Johannesburg on April 27 and Cape Town on May 1. The band will also perform in Japan, Thailand, South Africa, South America, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. GUNS N' ROSES did complete its first successful North American road trip in over a decade last year, along with a European trek.

Axl's cover band of bumblenuts aren't GNR. Maybe he's gonna couple the record with a remastered 20 year edition of Appetite for Destruction, rerecorded Ozzy style with all new musicians.

I can't imagine how great this record is going to be seeing as how long it's been tampered with. While there is theory and science to music, usually en organic natural approach produces the best reults, especially with a band such as Guns N Roses

I don't want to praise or crucify Metallica's new album but I'm guaranteeing it'll be out this year which is far more than I can say for Chinese Democracy.

When this album was begun, China was still a socialist state under Mao, by the time it comes out it might be a democracy. In fact, it is more likely that China will actually become a democracy than that Axl will release the album.
But global warming will wipe out the species before either one happens.

When there's only one member from the original band, you can stop using the bands name anymore. Velvet Revolver has more right to the name Guns N Roses, than this Rose Without Guns album. He could call this collaboration "Axl and Friends", but I don't think he has any left.

...this album will not see the light of day in 2007. In 2008 There will be a very remunerative reunion tour (Rose Slash Stradlin Duff Adler). "Chinese democracy" will be shelved and maybe released in 2010, like KISS "Carnival of souls" after the make-up reunion in mid 90's.

Whi wants to bet we get another Lennon McCartney song before we get Democracy? Chances are good, since McCartney is about to finish, and release the demo Yoko Ono gave the Beatles
Im not aware if Ringo is involved, but if he is, it means more original Beatles have worked together since GNR's last album.
It's a smart move for Axl though. He has managed 3 tours (one short one) without releasing this album
People said the Beatles were washed up, when they took 6 months to create Sgt Pepper.
Axl has taken 26X that, yet we all fall for it.

This is not the first time an online store has announced a release date for Chinese Democracy. It's happened before without consulting the band or label...they just do it kind of randomly it seems.
I, however, DO have the release date for Chinese Democracy! You can expect to see it on the 12th of Never.

Explanation of the word Chinese Democracy,
Kick all your band-members included the ones that started the band and wrote all the songs. Be sure to keep the band name for yourself. Let somebody else pay a massive amount for a record that you constantly fuck up and never will release. Then kick a few more members, spend some more money, go on tour, cancel some gigs, and still behave like it was 1989.
And ( the most important thing of all) be sure to constantly repeat this behaviour so people think that you actually are doing something and not only bullshitting everybody.
THAT`S CHINESE DEMOCRACY FOR YA...

If anyone on here is a sports fan, you know that even bad publicity is good publicity. Look at what it has done for Terrel Owens' career. 25 mil for three seasons with "America's Team". Axel is pretty much in the same boat as Terrel Owens. Where T.O. is "the player", Axel is "the singer". Because of the publicity this album will sell just because people are curious.

If Axl's net worth in 1994 was estimated to be 100 MILLION dollars, I don't think blowing 13 MILLION dollars and then some on this album is really going to upset the guy too much. He's probably worth a lot more than that by now. GNR's catalogue still sells very well. He literally has money to burn people.

If I told my boss that the report he needed was almost done and then screwed off for months and then said ooops I need another cover letter etc etc I would be fired so goddam fast my head would spin.
