PARADISE LOST: 'In Requiem' U.S. Release Date Announced - Mar. 14, 2007
British gothic metallers PARADISE LOST will release their 11th album, "In Requiem", in the U.S. on June 5 via Century Media Records. The artwork for the CD was created by Seth Siro Anton, who was the artwork designer for the group's last album, "Paradise Lost". The CD was produced by Rhys Fulber (FEAR FACTORY, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY) and mixed by Mike Fraser (SLIPKNOT) and marks a return to their heavy trademark sound. "The melancholic atmosphere is as oppressive as ever, but this go round the gloom is fused with an equal amount of dense, punishing riffs," according to a press release.

As previously reported, PARADISE LOST has been confirmed as the support act for NIGHTWISH on their upcoming North American tour. The trek will be only PARADISE LOST's third visit to the U.S. after previously supporting MORBID ANGEL and OPETH.

Commented PARADISE LOST singer Nick Holmes: "We can't wait to get to the U.S. on a great tour, and try and make an impact after years of focusing on Europe."

PARADISE LOST will play an exclusive show in London at Camden's Koko on April 12. The band will perform songs from across their ten-album career which will be filmed for the definitive DVD, entitled "From Gothic to Paradise Lost", to be released later this year.

Commented Nick Holmes: "We're all really excited to be playing this show at Koko. After playing so many venues in our career it'll be cool to play a different venue. It's going be a really special show as we're playing songs spanning our whole career and hopefully we'll be able to play something very new for you. The show will be filmed for our new DVD so you'd better get those lighters ready! Come along — it should be a night to remember."

G.U.N./ Sony/BMG in Europe and Abacus Recordings in the U.K. and the U.S released the band's last album, "Paradise Lost".

Can't wait for the new album - unlike a lot of bands, I've been into Paradise Lost from album one and still listen to their entire discography on a regular basis. Doesn't matter how their sound has changed they've been consistent in their progression and it's sounded natural for them.

Totally agree with 'Deth', I admire this band for the risks they take.....they keep it real & fresh.
Along with My Dying Bride they keep the goth scene cooking with style!

Seen Paradise Lost back in 91/92 with Morbid Angel & Kreator in Pittsburgh, was a kick ass show. As for the return to the heavier sound... thats questionable.. hope it pans out. I loved Lost Paradise & Gothic...

Is it a positive that they're supporting Nightwish? Has anyone heard the new Nightwish singer? Just wondering cuz I'd love to see that concert.
