DEEP PURPLE is touring behind its latest CD, "Rapture of the Deep". An expanded version of "Rapture of the Deep" was released last June, pairing the original release with a second CD that has, among other things, a new version of the song "Clearly Quite Absurd" and five live performances from when the band reopened the Hard Rock Cafe in London in October 2005. Among the live cuts are the classic DEEP PURPLE songs "Highway Star", "Smoke on the Water", and "Perfect Strangers".

Nice, playing the entire album when its main songwriter isnt even with them anymore. They keep talking about how they didnt need Ritchie anymore and how the band is better without him and now theyll play an album that was written mostly by Blackers.

Morse is technically more able than ritchie but he lacks the, for want of a better word, Blackmoreyness. Ritchie has more feel and unique tone plus when considering for wrote all those awesome songs it is evident ritchies much better. Morse is great though, I really look forward to seeing them live. can anybody recomend a Morse era Purple album for me?
