MARILYN MANSON Working On New Video With JAMES CAMERON? - Mar. 29, 2007
French music site Charts In France reports that MARILYN MANSON is filming a new video, "When the Heart Guides the Hand", with James Cameron as the director. The clip is said to be using a 3D special effect so people can view it without the glasses. According to the site, "When the Heart Guides the Hand" is the first single from MANSON's new album, "Eat Me, Drink Me", which is tentatively due in June.

In other news, SuicideGirls.com reports that several Suicide Girls models appear in Marilyn Manson's new video/short film. The clip is said to be for a new Manson song and will apparently feature an appearance by Manson's rumored girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, who drifts pristinely through a surreal concert scene filled with writhing, overtly sexual, scantily clad, and sometimes even demonic women. The video shoot was said to last fourteen hours and on set there was a shirt-optional policy as the main cut of the video will be released on DVD.

"Eat Me, Drink Me"Manson's first disc since 2003's "The Golden Age Of Grotesque" — was co-produced by Manson and bassist/aide de camp Tim Skold, and was mixed by Sean Beavan, who has worked on several other Manson projects, including 1996's "Antichrist Superstar", and 1998's "Mechanical Animals". According to the frontman, "Eat Me, Drink Me" "takes a totally different approach musically." While some sources have likened his new sound to QUEEN, Manson will only say "It's better heard than described." Still, he reveals, "On this record I really wanted to sing, and that has to come from a naked, emotional place.

"It's not a record about me crying, or songs about my woes, but I think this record will probably speak to more people in different ways, because of its total human element."

was by far the 2nd worst manson record worst being his newest one. Want a good manson listen pick up Portait of an American Family, Smells Like Children, or Anti-Christ Superstar and you'll see the difference.

all of manson's records are great for different reasons.

the guy changes, grows, experiments. that's more than can be said for a lot of today's cookie cutter metal bands.

bring on the new manson. when he comes to town i will be there.

Of course you can't wait... you like every cd that was ever put out, except anything actually heavy that has some substance. And you also use T-Boner sayings which ranks you among the biggest douchebags to ever grace the pages of Blabber. Shut up you fucking moron fanboy.

What kind of idiot doesn't know the difference between James Cameron, the director of "Terminator", "Terminator 2", "The Abyss" and "Titanic" and KIRK Cameron, the star of "Growing Pains"?? NOT the same guy. Not even close.

COMMENT | Sean Beavan Called Upon Again to Mix the new Manson Album

I have been trying to find more information of the new Marilyn Manson album, EAT ME, DRINK ME. (due sometime in June 2007) and I came across the name Sean Beavan, who will be mixing the new Manson album. Sean has worked on other Manson projects including the 1996 Antichrist Superstar album as well as the 1998 Mechanical’s Animals album. He also worked with Trent Renzor (NIN) and help forged the sound of NIN as well as No Doubt and Kill Hannah. With the tremendous success of all these albums Sean has worked on, I am looking forward to see what he has done with Manson’s new album – looking to be an amazing album collaboration.

An interesting note about Sean Beavan is he actually has his own band, 8MM with his wife Juliette and her distinctive and seductive voice makes 8MM a definite band to watch in ’07.

Check out the hypnotic sound of 8MM on their MySpace page at www.myspace.com/8mm or at their official site, www.8mmaudio.com and their cell phone video for Stunning on YouTube and Yahoo! Music that has received so much attention. They have an amazing trip-hop, downtempo sound that is definitely worth checking out.

I can see why Marilyn Manson called upon Sean once again to create what is looking to be another amazing Manson album in 2007.
